A stunning pantomime performance by young and old. The life band is great. The sitting is cozy. Great selection of drinks as well !
What a fantastic performance of ‘Come from away”. So professionally and warmly acted that you had the audience captivated from start to end. I like my interval break for an ice cream but I can see why this 1hr 40min of non-stop energy doesn’t have one - it would spoil the momentum and, anyway, the time flew by. I’ve seen it performed before in a West End theatre, probably equally well acted, but the intimacy of the Palace Theatre made it even more memorable and the standing ovations and rapturous applause for both actors and musicians was very well deserved. I can honestly say that it was the best performance I have ever seen at a theatre. Mark
Nice location theatre.Have a full programme of show though out the year.Very good prices. Have a cafe bar so you can have a drink and snacks while you wait to go in. There are toilets downstairs Seats are OK
We've not been to this theatre before and it was a very pleasant surprise. It's a smaller theatre but once inside is obviously very well looked after and judging by the lack of empty seats it's very much in demand. Talking of the seats, though comfortable enough to sit on if you are above average height you will struggle. My wife and I are both 178cm or 5ft 10 and leg room was tight. Even though it was high summer and full it was comfortable as there seemed to be air conditioning. Staff were great, really friendly and helpful and clearly knowledgeable. Overall a great visit which we enjoyed and we will look forward to coming again.
Lovely little theatre, get there a bit early and there is plenty of parking around FREE after 6pm, the staff are friendly, we have sat in various places inside and always had a pretty good view and could hear well even from the back , they have a bar, cafe and are even a wedding venue , the toilets are always clean . Saw Simon & Garfunkel Through the years. Comfortable seats and very friendly helpful staff. Relaxed approach. We had a great night. The show was brilliant, too, with great acoustics. We must keep this lovely theatre open & as it's non-profit, making donations are extremely important. If everyone left just a pound or two when they left, it goes straight back in the pot for maintenance
The palace has a really nice charm to it, the main stage is great, not too big and the seating is relatively comfortable. It did get a bit warm in there but that is to be expected. Think I prefer it over the larger and supposedly grander princess theater
Very nice venue. Was there to see the 'Buddy Holly and the Cricketers' a few months ago and then 'Double Death' tonight. Tonight they were doing a collection towards the theatre. Both productions were really good.
It is a small theatre and not quite what I'm used to. I have only been the once and the 5 stars are really for the amazing women's toilets. Could have stayed there being entertained by the wall coverings for ages. They play, too, was rather good.
oh wow yet another phenomenal night of music from the zoots. just the perfect way to spend a night out. thankyou so much to maureen and the rest of the palace theatre staff for getting such a phenomenal band on the books. it was just the icing on the cake to see and talk to the band after. and to have our photos taken too. i would love to see the zoots back again this year .....if possible. absoultly love the palace theatre and the zoots.
