Very tired, old musty smelling. Seats too low with no drink holders. Probably never been updated since it opened, that's what it looks like to me.

Agree with another reviewer that it's vital to support these old cinemas otherwise they will disappear! (like so many other Cornish towns e.g. Truro bowling alley is now being developed into yet more flats, with very little attractions or amenities). Yes the outside could do with a paint job but as they keep ticket prices reasonable I'm guessing it's hard to find money to update. The cinema inside is quite nice, seats are comfy and sound and screen quality are very good. Could do with more variety of food and drinks but all in all we've visited twice on holiday (great for a rainy day or evening where you've walked the town a million times) and found it great value for money. The staff were very friendly when we visited too.

Bit tired and rough round the edges. Could do with a lick of paint. Nice to see small cinemas still going tho. Good prices

We have travelled all over the UK and actively seek out these original picture houses. We love them. Staff as here are friendly and generally have several roles. Small theatres with original seats and a good atmosphere. Watched mission impossible. Please use these places and buy there, popcorn, drinks etc as its a big part.of the income. Love this one at St Ives. Use them or loose them. Thanks to the two lads on when we went.

Small cinema wasn't overly packed when we took the grandkids to see Matilda. Under £50 for 4 adults and 3 kids wasn't bad. Screens are not enormous and some homes probably have bigger ones in lounges. I give it 4 stars but really it's a 3 star but good value for money do it tipped me over.

Nice small cosy cinema. Not like the large full experience obviously but does present a good media experience. The only ket was the seats, they need upholstery upgrade, but very sore after 3 hours, nearly left the cinema

Great little old style cinema with decent seats with good legroom, great value for money as well.

Visited this place for the first time to watch Top Gun Maverick. The staff were really friendly and helpful - service was excellent!! Prices for food and drink are all very reasonable and whilst the cinema is perhaps a little dated (more of a theatre feel), the seats are still extremely comfortable, well-spaced out and easy to access. An extremely enjoyable experience and would happily visit again to watch a film.

A lovely, very friendly little cinema with a quirky way of running things. They had big posters for the new Liam Neeson film inside but didn't know when or if they were screening it. Such is the life of a smaller cinema chain, so best to look out for what's on and trundle down when they've put the timings up. The screens don't have lots of seats and there are people on council estates with bigger TVs in their living room but we head a great time and enjoyed the whole experience very much. One star deducted for the floor cleaning sign propped up against my chair, the 25 minutes of adverts (sure that need to take money, I know, but TWENTY FIVE MINUTES after advertised starting time?) Actually I'm still giving 5 stars, naff it.
