We visited Sutton Bonington campus with my daughter for an open day. It was much bigger than I thought and very picturesque. Accommodation was spacious. This would be a great place to study if you don't mind being a bit out of the way although there are good connections to the main campus. Everyone we spoke to loved being here.
Nice campus, reasonable student facilities.
If you're looking to enjoy a holidays. Try to avoid this place.
Brilliant place not far from Nottingham , great place for cycling for a little one
Sutton Bonington is a beautiful campus situated on the border of Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. It serves as the base for University of Nottingham students studying biosciences, such as veterinary medicine and surgery, dietetics and nutrition. It is about 20-40 minutes from University Park campus. The benefits of this campus is that is self-sustaining, is the smallest of the campuses, and has a real community feel! Facilities are state of the art and although a little remote, the free hopper bus is available to link various campuses at frequent times.
If you are not an undergraduate, forget living on this campus. AVOID OPAL LIKE THE PLAGUE. Imagine everything that would be undesirable about postgrad living (apart from proximity to lab) and that is what living at opal is. Also watch out for security staff on a power trip! They'd fine you for breathing without a permit and put tickets on the cars parked on your own front drive if they could!
