this is a very friendly club with students of very mixed ability. All of the trainers put everyone at their ease and provide a nice learning environment. The training is safe and suitable for all ages.
I have been doing Tai Chi with John for a number of years and find I still get something new from the moves . John is able to teach them in ways suitable for all experience levels and all interests. I leave the class feeling relaxed but stretched. It was particularly useful when I was recovering from surgery and a bit stiff. Now as I am getting older I feel it helps with my general body awarerness and balance and feeds into other activities / sports. John teaches a variety of types of Tai Chi. At the moment wwe are doing Fan which is fun.
Tai Chi is (for someone who has no prior exposure) a surprisingly good work out for muscles, mind and body. John and the rest of the instructors are welcoming and re-assure all newcomers that it takes time to learn the moves and to go at our own pace. This is good. The age range during my time was mid-20s to 70s, with most people at the older end. Parking at Attenborough Village hall is free and there's plenty of room.
