   The Acting Studio truly teaches the craft of acting, with a heavy focus on technique. Amanda brings in guest teachers from a range of backgrounds to diversify our knowledge and skill set, as well as preparing us for life as a professional creative. There is always something going on for us to get involved with and the workshop is constantly developing as her students grow. Amanda is more than just an acting teacher, she genuinely cares about her students and pushes us in ways we never expect. She goes above and beyond for each one of us and her care shines through while she teaches. I wish I joined sooner.

   I have been attending private lessons with Amanda for a little over 5 years, and have attended Advanced Workshop sessions for around two. She provides priceless and unique insight into acting, both as a craft and in terms of its (oftentimes complicated and frustrating) industry, and gives us so many different opportunities to improve our abilities. I have met so many wonderful and talented people, who have helped me to overcome so much in my time here. I couldn’t recommend The Acting Studio more!

   From the perspective of one of Amanda’s students I can confidently say that Amanda’s lessons have been and incredible way for me to improve my skills as an actor, she is a lovely teacher but when she feels necessary she will be harsh on her students, but always fair. Amanda Fairclough is such a brilliant teacher from beginner to advanced, her students are all very talented due to her teachings. As a mature student who started late in life i have learnt so much in such a short space of time helping putting me through my LAMDA exams and my Shakespeare awards and has made my journey into Acting very enjoyable and rewarding.

   I have attended The Acting Studio since it’s inauguration and I find the teaching to be an extremely high level, giving a broad and practical understanding of numerous key techniques and skills required for acting and quite often for life as a whole, the guest teachers are always fantastic and offer wonderful variety! I was actually taught by Amanda for nearly 10 years and the journey in which she has helped me to come on will never be forgotten and her teaching has played a big part in where I am today both as a performer and as a person. For anyone who wishes to try acting and for anyone who has been doing it for years and hopes to push themselves further I would 100% recommend The Acting Studio, if you want to grow and feel part of a family then it’s for you!

   When I first started lessons with Amanda I had very little acting experience. It’s something I always had wanted to try and was extremely nervous. However Amanda’s teaching style put my nerves at ease so I could enjoy the lesson as much as possible. I’ve been coming for about a year and a half and I look forward to each workshop. It’s a safe place where your allowed to experiment and try new things without being judged by anyone. I feel like I have grown so much over the past year and half thanks to Amanda as she knows how’s to push people and help them improve. I definitely recommend The Acting Studio to anyone of any ability who has any interest in acting.
