Rubbish service refused me a service and do not speak English got very angry with me raising his voice in a foreign language. I have just had a serious operation and the driver made me walk

These guys used to be fabulous. My go-to taxi firm. But now they’re part of D&G cars. I’m a wheelchair user and I could always rely on Royal. Sadly not anymore. I was refused transport unless I paid double fare - something that hadn’t happened on the journey out! I was left stranded by three taxi drivers who stood laughing at me. I had to get the bus home and lose my luggage. These drivers were callous, uncaring and discriminatory, I would advise any disabled travellers to avoid them. D&G too - they support this behaviour.

Royal cabs provided a wheelchair taxi for our Mum today and the driver could not do enough for her, he was professional and kind. She felt safe and the car was immaculate. Brilliant service and very good price. Thank you

I ordered a cab to take my mum a short journey in a wheelchair. It was on time and the driver was very helpful and kind as he got mum in and out of the car. We will definitely use them again.

Rang Royal Cabs on Friday night (17th March) after waiting for an hour for a taxi by DG cars (who eventually cancelled the taxi after promising three times that a taxi was on its way) was told by the lady operator that someone would be with me within 5 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, I rang back up and spoke to a male operator who said that I should never have been told that it was a 5 minute wait, but he promised he would have someone with me within 15 minutes maximum. After waiting close to an hour, I gave up and walked back to my hotel which was a 2.7 mile walk and even by the time I had walked back, I still hadn't received a text message or phone call from Royal Cabs to let me know the taxi was on its way. Nothing wrong with having to wait for a service, that's not the problem, but lying about even bothering to come and bring a taxi is the problem. A big problem. Poor service and would not use again.

I used the taxi service as I had a flat tyre on the mobility scooter I was on The gentleman who drove the taxi helped by pushing my large scooter into the taxi and when we arrived at my home he pushed the scooter in to the garage where I keep it The gentleman was very helpful in assisting me

They brought my dad out to his location, who is a wheelchair user. Said and arranged to be picked up for 9pm and never turned up knowing we told them we couldn’t get him home ourselves, which is why we requested the wheelchair taxi. They left him stranded! A disabled person stranded and now the phone numbers have been blocked… Disgusting company! 3 times this has happened even though they reassured us that they would come for 9pm!

I booked a taxi for a wheelchair to take my 93 year old father to a nearby park. The taxi arrived 25 minutes late without anyone contacting me by text to inform me, so I called the office myself and also re-arranged the pick up time for the return journey. The return pick up never happened. I called the office 3 times to ask when the taxi would arrive and was given the answer that it would be as soon as possible, I was in a queue, and that there could be a longer waiting time for specialised wheelchair transport. After 50 minutes I gave up and got my father back to the care home another way. So don't rely on this company for wheelchair transport I'd say.
