Booked a journey at 10am this morning, for a car at 11:30 Holme Pierrepont to Co Op West Bridgeford - a total of 3.5 miles. Driver charged £10 for the journey (D & G Cars charge me £6 for the same journey). When I questioned it he advised me that that's what the office told him to charge me. Shortly afterwards I called the office and spoke to the same woman I booked it through and asked her if and why she asked the driver to charge that amount of money when D & G charge £6 for the same journey and £8.60 to the train station (4.2 miles). She curtly replied "I made that number up, it's what you get to do when you have your own company". I responded that I understood the concept, but asked her to justify the number when I most certainly wouldn't use them again because of it. She replied that I hadn't used them before anyway (I have, and have tried to use them repeatedly despite the fact that they never have any drivers available when I call them) and that she didn't care if I didn't use them again. She then hung up the phone on me. I then received a text from a different mobile number ending 024 saying "Don't ansewer" (two words, one spelling mistake and one grammatical error, outstanding) which I assume was sent from her personal phone intended for the driver. Then number unsurprisingly didn't answer when I tried to call it. Obviously I won't use again, I would recommend anyone reading this to use D & G Cars, they're not always perfect but they are professional.
