Having had vehicles insured with Reis for some years with no issues until recently. I received a email from Motor insurers Bureau in May 2025 informing me my vehicle was uninsured! Some what concerned I called Reis as I had a policy running from December 2024 to December 2025. They checked and confirmed they had not updated the MIB database, but this would happen in 24 hours. 24 hours later nothing updated. Told this could take up to 48 hours. 48 hours later nothing updated. I was concerned given that if i was stopped the police would check insurance and then vehicle could be impounded. Reis said any costs incurred would be covered.... wow great!!! It took over 5 days for the MIB data base to be updated... Not happy with the service at all. Now just made an amendment to the policy and been charged. Asked if they could waive the charge given my recent issues, the answer was no.

6 year customer review here. Having had excellent service from the predecessor company REIS insurance it seems Kingfisher aren't that bothered about existing customers. Recent policy (2025) is more expensive but no matter I thought, had good service historically. However on renewal I discovered I needed to have my daily driver v5 in my name - it's in my wife's name so I've had to re-register it in my name then loose a months tax payments as its mid month. Will I be a customer next year ............ jury out on that one !

Fantastic service, great price and very handy as they do a great multi car policy which covers my track car and daily driver. Having 6 track days a year included in the policy is fantastic as well. Very well recommended.

Called up to insure my modified car. They asked me how modified, and what I thought it was worth. Told them it was modified, but not as comparatively modified as some I've seen. I guessed that my car is worth about £4k. The guy said that they wouldn't give me a quote, because it's not modified enough or valuable enough, despite not asking what the mods are, or accepting my explanation that my value was a conservative estimation. Guy told me that he wasn't even part of the new business team. Not impressed! 1 extra star because they answered the phone quickly, which is rare for insurance companies.

Great prices, however, be warned; taking a policy out may mean you need a part time job to pull together the wealth of info needed to actually satisfy them and get insured. Made all the more annoying that they don't ask for the right stuff first time, so after spending half a day pulling it all together you get an email back pointing out they wanted something else, even though they didn't ask for it. Will be used for one years insurance only and never used again (as someone else has pointed out, their T's & C's leave you no option but to stay with them for the year). Being £50 cheaper doesn't offset with the £300 i could have earned doing my job during the same time period I've spent faffing about with this.

Unlike adrian flux who think its acceptable to try and play with peoples lives due to bullying and quite frankly using unlawful tactics I found this company to be a breath of fresh air. Extremely professional, helpful and have recommended to many people since.

Couldn't be happier with the service received. Efficient and clear on the phone, quick and responsive by email and ultimately they were able to blow the competition away in terms of cost and coverage for my car. Long may this continue.

A breath of fresh air in customer relations. They responded to an enquiry via an insurance comparison site I had done. I was spoken to as a human being and not just by a person reading from script trying to capitalise on the number of sales, everything was explained and simplified for me to understand. Above all, if I have any issues what-so-ever I have a dedicated email and direct number to the same person whom I spoke to from the very first day, my own personal Insurance Technician. Such a shame there aren't enough stars, I would have easily given the a 10 out 5. Pity I do not have a fleet of cars, otherwise I know where I would be sending them. Onward and upwards guys. Good luck and God bless.
