I went here 10 years ago and it was one of the worst experiences of my life that I ended up giving up. I had 0 support, was bullied for being asthmatic, was bullied for being trans, absolutely 0 support for autism and 0 understanding from staff about depression and anxiety. I like to hope that they've changed, but I highly, highly doubt it. Don't bother going here. Waste of time, waste of money.

3rd time studying here. Super layout and easily accessible with plenty of secure parking. Staff are brilliant, professional and respectful which reflects in their student around the campus. Wish they had college's like this when I was growing up.

Attended here for my alevels from 2018-2020, teachers were supportive, friendly, and approachable. I dealt with becoming disabled whilst attending this college and got great support and understanding from all of my teachers, especially Luke Peakman (biology teacher) who encouraged me throughout the ups and downs of my chronic illness at college. Teachers understood when I wasn't able to attend lectures due to my illness and never gave up on me despite struggling with course content at multiple points. Overall an extremely positive experience. The pastoral care was great with a counsellor I could speak to at any time (and who I actually felt comfortable speaking to, which is amazing!). Wish I could let each teacher know just how much they helped me.

Knowing at least 3 students with special needs including Autism, Dyslexia and ADHD. The college have no idea how to deal with these challenges and fail to understand the problems these students face. I know of students being sent home as the tutors refuse to teach these members and they get no support from senior staff who back their poor junior staff without investigating issues that may occur. I would definitely never send my child to this out of date and poorly run establishment

Decided to visit Inspirations for a luxury manicure. Managed to park and find the Salon area easily. Olivia who started training in September was lovely. Although both of us were nervous I was made to feel at ease, with understanding each aspect of the treatment, resulting in lovely soft skin and beautiful nails. My mum also had a manicure with another young lady, but having lost her handbag it set the appointment on a back foot. Handbag handed into reception and a lovely hand massage, mum was relaxed. Sadly even 2 hours after the appointment her nail polish was smearing and smudging, so did not last (?) Overall a nice experience that I would recommend to others. Thank you Olivia and good luck with the training.

This is a horrible college I don’t recommend it the staff is horrible that don’t protect you from bullys they think you it’s the other way round and if your trying to go back to the college for a second year and don’t have the grades they will tell you to find another college they also don’t care about mental health problems I suffered mental health problems even more going into college as I felt so unsafe it got to the point I couldn’t even get out of bed in the morning

Terrible place. I was meant to do a drawing course but it got cancelled because they couldn’t “find a teacher” don’t waste your time here. You’d be better off finding a course online or going some place else. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!! especially during Corona the teachers didn’t care.

Good Afternoon Everyone :) My experience at South Devon College was appalling with the mockery of the teachers from the Sports department. Not everyone! but a selective few! (Daniel gaze) No support, no confidence boost just making me feel anxious and embarrassed throughout my time at South Devon College. Little to no support during lockdown! Section of Teachers! at the sports department are up them selfs no respect for the students at all just thinking of them selfs! Very arrogant and up tight to say the least :/ Made me feel embarrassed specially when one of the teachers sharing my YouTube videos to the whole class without my permission!! Spreading it throughout the whole sports and fitness department making a mockery and laughing Stock. A selective Few where very arrogant, rude most of all thinking they’re thinking they’re are better than everyone else. Got moaned by one of the teachers for being late by 2 minutes and threatened to chuck me out of the course. Apparently I’ve been going to the wrong lessons but no one told mat the time before it was to late /: They honestly expect us to know everything inside out on the first day unbelievable! They said they here to help when I’ll ask for help they just ignore me or walk away. The timetable changed 2-3 times in a month absolutely ridiculous how are we meant to keep up with everything when they keep changing the timetable constantly! They’re made a mockery out of me in a practical sports lesson when I couldn’t play a particular sport such as football! The teachers where all sniggering and making me feel awful very unprofessional and arrogant!! My experience was applauding unfortunately it’s a big shame but let’s hope in the future this gets sorted out for the sake of the new upcoming learners! I’m sure people are enjoying SDC. This is just my Prospective and my experience at SDC! This isn’t a personal attack towards SDC it’s the teachers surrounding it! Thanks for reading. (: I’ll personally Wouldn’t recommend this college to anyone who wants to do sports and fitness 100%

Absolutely shocking college. Very corrupt establishment and Ofsted and the council seriously need to investigate things more. It is badly organised, poor tutor to student communication. Bullying culture from tutors!!!!!! Tutors are encouraged by Alex to actually do the work for the students just to get a high pass rate, especially by Tracey Turner in media (just so she can get high pass rate for awards) So in Torbay there are electricians, plumbers, etc that are not even qualified because the work has been done. This college only cares about money and funding, they take advantage of students claiming EHCP and prioritise these students and do the work for them to keep them. The list is endless, Avoid south Devon college.
