Good spot for medical supplies and cool drinks from the fridge. Knocked a star off because the main door wasn't working during my visit. Did mean I got to see behind the scenes though, which was pretty cool. Reminded me of when you'd go to McDonalds birthday parties as a kid and sometimes get a tour of the freezers and stuff. Sort of like being in a live action Charlie and the chocolate factory. Maybe someone should do a sequel: Charlie and the pharmacy. It might not have the same appeal though. And that's why I'm not giving up my day job.

Had to move from this pharmacy a number of months ago after having so many bad experiences. Often extremely long queues due to slow processing and staff often apparently unable to find issued prescriptions. Also makes no sense that you seem to wait forever for something you've received text notification to say is ready to collect. Items often out of stock and rather than offer to order, just told to take it elsewhere until asked to order items in. Also had more than one encounter with an extremely rude, obstructive female pharmacist on the phone and witnessed extremely unhelpful behavior towards an elderly man just trying desperately to get prescription items for his sick wife. Switch to any other pharmacy and you won't have these problems it seems

Arranged for my mother's prescriptions to go directly to McKays chemist, with her medication put into roll strips for easier access and delivering a correct amount each time. My mum loves this service, as she has poor eyesight and this takes the stress away of having multiple boxes of tables and working out which tablet for AM and Pm. Thank you McKays chemist team. Fantastic service.

Have used McKays for quite a few years. It's handy to my surgery and they will deliver if you are unable to get to surgery.

Very busy pharmacy that relies heavily on the surgery across the road. Queues may be horrendous at busy times. Good selection of products for all ages and tastes.

Very helpful and professional staff. Even when the staff are under pressure they are always willing to give advice. Great pharmacy. Highly recommend.

Mckays need to train their staff in customer care and product knowledge and its where abouts!! Visited today.Wont be back. Majority of staff gave the impression they were not interested in job and not working! Long queue mixed with prescription collectors, those wanting advice and self service customers just wanting to check out and pay. Background staff in dispensery loudly talking about last nights TV etc. Also counterstaff, under data protection should not be recording personal/patient information in open "scrappy notebooks just because they can not listen and hold information in their heads for a few seconds!! Also need for repeating information is unnecessary especially in front of the long queues your staff and management are creating. Now remember why I moved my nominated chemist to Gordons!!!

A family member visited the pharmacy today. He had run out of a tablet he needs (Christmas holidays) and I had told him that when this happens to me, I just go to the chemist to get an emergency supply. I have been doing this for many years at many different chemists and never had an issue. He has been going to this particular Chemist for 8 years. He was told he could have 3 tablets if he paid £2.60! Very embarrassed, he said he had no money on him and that the prescription had been ordered. They made him go back home to get money before they gave him the 3 tablets! None of us will set foot in here again.
