The staff and the manager were very welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. Seza in particular was extremely helpful and attentive. Excellent service overall.

I get my mum’s prescription from Victoria and despite what other reviews have mentioned I had no issues. People need to understand that it’s the busiest pharmacy in carrick with being beside three different homes and beside popular shops- it’s bound to be really busy. The pharmacist served me at the till and was really friendly and helpful. Thanks for the hard work Victoria!

Edited to add: Do not trust the opening and closing times posted here, it seems totally random as to whether they're open or not. Right now it's 6.30pm and they're closed, they should be open til 9pm. Not the first time it's happened, won't be the last time. At first, the pharmacy seemed to work as it should - my prescription is sent from the Dr, they'd text me when it's ready, sometimes the same day, always within three days. More recently, a week after ordering I haven't got a text - they had issues getting one of my medications because 'they reached their quota with the supplier' (fair enough, I guess, but tell me as soon as possible so I can go elsewhere, not wait a week for me to go down there on the day I need it) or like today, a half hour wait when collecting, with no warning, apology or explanation. Even a heads up that my script would take a while would have been preferable to standing there seeing people come in after me and leave before me. I was starting to think they'd forgotten about it! It's a real shame - I don't know if they have trouble getting staff as you rarely seem the same person twice, but something has gone very wrong in recent months.

Staff are always pleasant and helpful except last week (Saturday 17th September),a certain staff member wasn't up to date on information which mis-led me and could have been detrimental to my family. Have since changed pharmacies!

This pharmacy is an absolute disaster and has been for years. There's an awful lot of people working behind the counter but yet nobody is being served. Plenty of casual chat between the staff and while I don't want them to be stressed out, they certainly don't look like they are trying too hard to clear the backlog of irate people queued up. Today I called in the morning for my prescription which would have arrived there a few days before - they hadn't made it up yet and said it would be half an hour, so I left to come back later. Why does it take half an hour to make up a single prescription for common tablets? I guess they are making up big orders for care homes or something, it couldn't be for the two other waiting customers. When I called later there was a queue all the way round the shop, I stood for 5 minutes and the entire time the same person was being served. Gave up again as I've to get back to work. This shop needs a drastic staff overhaul and new management.

I wish my GP would allow me to use the pharmacy at the health Centre, where everything is ultra organised and queues go quickly. Victoria pharmacy is a disaster. They will literally ignore people standing in the queue waiting to be seen. That's if you even make it into the queue, as it is hard to know who is waiting to be seen and who is still waiting for their script. Once I watched a man get so upset by not knowing what was even going on that he yelled at everyone in the shop and stormed out. They didn't even reassure us or apologise when that happened. I could understand this man,the level of frustration and anxiety you feel in there mounts and mounts. Prepare to be on there for an hour sometimes. You are lucky if they answer the phone when you call to see if your script is definitely there or ask them to make it up before you head down there. When there in person you can witness them ignoring the phone even when laughing and joking around behind the counter at busy times. With a whole unorganised mountain of baskets behind them. Sometimes my script has been made up but they can't locate it. I suffer from auditory and visual hallucinations and I stand in there for ages with my symptoms getting worse and worse. Very tellingly, at one point, I heard voices telling me I had turned invisible and that's why they were not getting my script for ages. My voices told me that I needed to scream or I would become permanently invisible. I phoned my friend to help me through it. Surely they understand that they are counting out anyipsychotics and other strong medications to sick and struggling people. Now my mother tries to go for my script when I'm feeling particularly unwell. But people come to a pharmacy because they aren't well, right? You wouldn't think the staff members actually understand that when you are in there.

Doing a great job in very trying circumstances. Yes, its true that when a few key members of staff arent there, you might be waiting longer, but this is not the norm. More often it is great service, with knowledgable people who seem like they genuinely want to help and I have never once seen any staff member be unfriendly. Thanks to the whole team.
