This is my third Christmas Wreath making workshop with the Bath Flower School and I’ll be back again. It’s a great workshop - Saffy and Verity are excellent tutors and the resources are fabulous. Great way to spend a few hours and everyone always leaves with a fabulous wreath. Fabulous start to the festive season. Thanks once again.
My friend and I spent a wonderful afternoon making Christmas door wreaths with Saffy and Verity. We left with truely beautiful wreaths that we were delighted with and both of us commented on what a good experience it had been. Saffy ‘taught ‘ our table with her wonderfully relaxed style, giving help and professional advice when needed but allowing and encouraging us to be experimental , individual in our designs. It felt such a happy and safe place to be creative. The materials were lovely and plentiful with lots of choices . We learnt lots of new floristry tips and were treated to delicious mulled wine/ spiced apple juice and mince pie. And as if that wasn’t enough we even had a botanical party bag to take home. Thoroughly recommend for a perfect wreath making experience. Thank you
A life-changing experience! Having worked as a garden and interior designer for many years, I wanted to explore further into the world of plants, flowers and design, but also in a way that challenged my original view of floristry: that it was all about green foam, cellophane, bright pink nylon ribbon and a bunch of flowers in a perfect round shape of varying bright colours. I had seen far more interesting and creative work on Instagram and thought that perhaps the world of floristry was moving forward. Finding the right course was essential and The Bath Flower School provided just that! Like me, you have probably googled 'floristry courses' and come across The Bath Flower School and seen the HUGE number of 5 star reviews and thought...really??!! It's THAT good?? For me, posting a review takes time and effort and I only do it when I really feel that a business has gone above and beyond my expectation and deserves to be spoken about.....The Bath Flower School deserves to be shouted about!! It really is what every one of the 5 star reviews proclaim it to be - fantastic, creative, welcoming, full of an astonishing amount of information, bonding, inclusive, remarkably well structured, balanced in terms of practical and theory, business orientated (if thats your bag) and so incredibly enjoyable, immersive and rewarding. I can easily say each day passed in a flash and I didn't want to leave!! I learnt an incredible amount and my previous thoughts of floristry being 'stuck in time' have blown out of the window - it is an evolving, growing and fascinating creative art that is taking sustainability by the reins and driving it forward. I should also mention the guest speakers who came to talk to us about their own specialisms, from photography, to social media to marketing - again, so much information and helpful advice and tips! Meeting the other students on the 2 week course was amazing as we were all on a journey of self discovery in terms of learning a new craft, but also just bonding as a group and having so much fun and laughs. The school itself is set in an old shop building in the cutest village of Larkhall in Bath and has been tastefully restored and decorated to create an earthy, relaxed and creative environment (plus the tea bag choice is phenomenal, along with the chocolate snacks!!). Bath itself is just stunning, inspiring and an absolute delight to see. I would love to do it all again and will be back next year to take part in more of their exceptional courses. Last week I took part in the three day floristry basics course at The Bath Flower School - and honestly I don’t even know where to start! I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to learn with Verity and Saffy. They are not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also kind, patient, and truly inspiring teachers. Their energy and encouragement made every session joyful, and I came away feeling extremely motivated, supported, and full of new skills. I learnt a huge amount in the three days, and it never once felt overwhelming, just super exciting and empowering. Thank you both for creating such a positive and uplifting learning experience. A beautiful studio, delicious snacks, all the tea and coffee you could wish for, plus stunning flowers and a fantastic environment. Honestly, if you’re looking or learn all things floristry, look no further - you won’t regret it!!! (I didn’t want to leave) Thank you so much again, and I will absolutely be back!
An absolute dream from start to finish! I just completed the two-week Professional Floristry Course at The Bath Flower School, and I can honestly say it exceeded all my expectations. From the very first morning, Verity and Saffy created the warmest, most welcoming atmosphere. They are not only incredibly talented florists, but also such generous teachers who are genuinely invested in your progress. I arrived feeling nervous, but their kindness and encouragement gave me the confidence to push myself creatively, and I noticed my skills and self-belief grow with each day. The course itself is wonderfully well-structured, striking the perfect balance between hands-on practical work and detailed business knowledge. We covered everything from the sustainable technical foundations of floristry — hand-tied bouquets, sympathy flowers, installations, wiring, foam-free mechanics, large-scale arrangements — right through to the crucial behind-the-scenes skills: costing and pricing, proposals for weddings, sourcing suppliers, social media / website information and what it takes to set up your own floristry business. Every lesson felt purposeful, inspiring, and packed with information that I know will serve me well for years to come. I met such an amazing group of people and left not only with new skills to go out and become a professional florist, but also with wonderful friends. The setting itself in Bath is beautiful and inspiring, and the course days always felt like a perfect mix of hard work, creativity, fun and the atmosphere was always relaxed. I’m truly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn here. If you’re even remotely considering a course at The Bath Flower School, I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you want to pursue floristry professionally or immerse yourself in a creative new challenge, this is the place to do it. Just go for it — you won’t regret it!
The Bath Flower School is pure MAGIC!!! My mum & I have been for 2 different workshops, and they've both been so so special. The studio is so gorgeous, both Verity and Saffy are SUCH experts but lovely and kind, and you walk away with a creation you didn't know you were capable of! A truly lovely experience - especially as a birthday treat or a special day out.
The Bath Flower School was amazing! I took the wedding flowers course with them last April and gained so much confidence and knowledge from Saffy and Verity! They have created such a lovely and comfortable space to learn and grow in your floristry career. The flowers they provided were gorgeous & the tips they taught us made it feel easy to make something beautiful. I also gained the experience of making a large wedding archway (without any floral foam), learning the mechanics that go into creating a large scale structure has given me the confidence I needed to feel comfortable moving forward in my floristry career. On top of all that, on the last day, they had a model and photographer on site to get shots of our bridal bouquets, table arrangements and archway. I now have so many stunning photos for my portfolio and feel confident putting my new skills to use. I can highly recommend taking any course at The Bath Flower School & I'd love to be back soon to learn more from these amazing women. Thank you so much Saffy and Verity xx
I attended the Hello Summer course yesterday and had the most magical day. Saffy and Verity very quickly created a very warm and friendly atmosphere and we quickly started to learn so much whilst creating beautiful hand tied bouquets and meadows. I came away feeling incredibly inspired, motivated and with some glorious locally grown displays. Thank you both for such a lovely day. x
I have just done the large installation workshop at The Bath Flower School and it was the best course I’ve ever been on! Verity and Saffy were so lovely and welcoming, I felt I could ask any questions without worrying it was silly. They were more than happy to share all of their knowledge and had a brilliant approach to teaching. I would 100% recommend doing a course here and I’ll be looking to do another in future x
I was given a 3-day Floristry Basics course at the Bath Flower School as a Christmas present. It was the perfect antidote to freezing, grey January. The flowers we used were beautiful. Everything was explained and demonstrated very clearly. Saffy and Verity encouraged us to experiment and produce our own unique creations. By the end of the course we’d made a kokedama, a hand-tied bouquet, a meadow, a huge vase arrangement, a bowl arrangement and a floral crown! I think everyone attending had an amazing time. I also did the Christmas wreath making afternoon, which was similarly inspiring. I can’t wait to go back again!
