I was here yesterday. I walked around the building and inside, but there was not a single sign. And I could not find the office of this company to give my documents for translation. Receptionist said that the office of this company does not exist here

We had requested to get my daughter's educational certificate apostilled for immigration purpose. They told us that we needed to get the certificate notarized first as it wasn't a government document and there would be an extra charge for that. We agreed to a price quoted by the office. Upon approval from both parties we decided to make the payment and the charges for delivery were supposed to be deducted as she would go to their office to pick the document by hand and we wouldn't need a postal delivery. The manager agreed to this arrangement. However after making the payment, we received an email that we have to pay extra postal charges as the document would come from London. This was not informed to us earlier and the manager had agreed that the document would be picked up from their office without any extra charge. We felt this was lack of transparency and this made us feel that since we had already made the payment they could ask for more. Although the project manager apologized for this miscommunication and offered to refund the amount, minus a 3.5% bank commission (which would be a loss for us). However, my daughter found no merit in the refund process, so we decided to proceed with the extra payment. Aside from this unexpected development, their service was very quick. She received the certificate delivered in just four days but they shouldn't have charged us extra for the delivery as it was their mistake that they had agreed on it earlier.
I was asked to provide a review so I will. For £39 to have a one page birth certificate translated, for which I transcribed in my original email the vast majority of the text from said document (since the font could have been tricky to read), to be asked again by email what the text said, and then to find two typos I wasn’t overly impressed. The official translation ‘certificate‘ part of the document is also only in English which I’m surprised given that I paid for the translation into German, and I fear might still be rejected by the German authorities on that ground. The positive is that the communication was always fast and polite so I have offered 3 stars.
