This store follows it's own made up rules regarding refunds and overcharges. The level of service at this branch is always poor, however today I purchased a large terracotta plant pot which was advertised in 3 places within the store as £22.99 reduced from £29.99. After I left the store and checked my receipt I realised I had been overcharged. I returned inside and despite showing the manager the 3 locations where the large reduced sticker was up, I was told that the offer had ended, with no proof of this shown to me, and the reduced price would not be honoured. I questioned this, quoting the trades description act and that customers are legally entitled to the price displayed, however I was again refused so I got a refund.

Very disappointed. Went in to purchase a real Xmas tree. Most were wrapped already but I like to see the tree open before I choose. There was one I liked and I asked for it to be wrapped. I was told I couldn't have because it was a display tree!! How ridiculous that a sale was turned down. Shame on b and m for not selling a product for an unreasonable reason and for not having more trees unwrapped so people can see before they buy.

I've worked in customer service for 20 years and was a store manager, but I've never seen worse customer service than this. They don't even understand the basics of first-come, first-served. I was in line at the checkout when they let a woman go ahead of me, without even asking if it was okay, because: "The lady needs to refund but doesn't want to wait in line." Too bad the lady had a full basket to refund and blocked the checkout. In the end, I dropped off the items and left, so you also lost money by issuing a refund. Well done!

I had a disappointing experience with the person identified as the “Supervisor.” There was no refund policy displayed, and I was refused a return for an item bought just a week earlier. I was told discounted items are non-refundable, which I wasn’t informed of. All other stores handle returns with respect and courtesy — offering a smile, a friendly greeting, and no unnecessary questions. I hope management reviews this to improve customer service and transparency.

I visited this B&M on Monday 17th March 2025 at approximately 9PM, and it was one of the worst retail experiences I've had. The store is clearly mismanaged. Numerous items lacked price tags or had incorrect prices (See images) and staff were dismissive when I raised these issues, simply telling me to check prices at the till. The checkout line was excessively long, with only one till operational. Compounding the problem, a recalled cereal multipack was still on the shelf, causing further delays when it wouldn't scan. The lack of proactive problem-solving from both staff and management is unacceptable. Head office needs to intervene and address the serious operational deficiencies at this store.

Plenty of stock, lots of free parking. Visited at a quiet time, so no delays at the tills. Staff were friendly.

B&M Home Store is a retail outlet that deals on wide range of household items with pocket friendly prices. Quality of their goods and customer services are very impressive. It is located at Merriland shopping complex about seven minutes walk from Dagenham Dock station and fifteen minutes walk from Dagenham Heathway Underground tube station, two minutes away from two bus stops around it. One of my favourite shops.
