Took stena Line ferry from Liverpool to Belfast and the service was excellent. The journey was smooth and the staff were extremely polite. Cabins had an exquisite decor and very comfortable bed and all other amenities like TV ,electric kettle ,fridge ,coffee percolator were present which are essential for a comfortable travel . Public places and toilets were well maintained and clean . They maintained covid 19 protocol very strictly. Not all restaurants were open due to covid restrictions but quality of food in the restaurants and cafe which were available was good and food was palatable

Brand new ship, the cabins are great but the ship has some design issues. My wife is a wheelchair user and found the single lift to our cabin difficult. Firstly the lift is small, two people only, the doors shut very quickly, my wife's foot got trapped. Secondly the landing outside the lift is very small and opens directly onto the top of a staircase. Care needs to be taken when using the lift. Having trapped and bruised her foot in the lift doors my wife was not too keen on leaving the cabin. Just as well because as I soon discovered once the garage was shut and locked there was no access to the public areas of the ship except by stairs. I decided not to tell my wife. As a retired engineer it's easy to see that the ship has been built in modules with probably different architects assigned to each module. They wanted to build a horse but built a camel. Shame the ship could have been so much better. However we found the Liverpool to Belfast route very convenient, having tried all the routes to Northern Ireland over the years this is by far the easiest. Good road links at either end, and using the overnight ferry means you don't feel that you are wasting a day travelling. We will be using the route again.

I have used this boat for 2 journeys with my 2 small kids during COVID when I have just needed to travel to gain support from my parents in Ireland. The staff have always been so helpful without me even having to ask and made travelling with two young kids as easy as can be. Boats are clean, on time, and found very good value for money!
