I just wanted to mention my experience a little bit ago with the Deputy Manager I think her name was Shareen. I apologise if I spelt her name wrong but she was an incredible, kind and funny lady. She made me feel so happy coming into the store. I came to get a quote on some items that my mum had left behind, I thought if I sold the items I would get no more than £500. I thought that would be enough to donate to the hospital that took care of my mum, but she surprised me and the total was over a grand. I was so grateful it brought me to tears. She smiled and comforted me and I couldn’t have had a nicer experience. I will definitely be coming back. We were walking past the shop today with my girlfriend and she a saw a ring in the window on sale so we asked the staff member if we could see it her name was Abby I think and she initially looked at us like we were criminals or thieves after giving her our ID. This is common practice in H&T but it’s her attitude and the way she said it. she bought the ring out which unlike all the other rings didn’t have a description in the window and she just gave us the ring without telling us any information so after prompting her if she could give me some information as in what carat the gold was or are the stones diamonds or CZ etc. She said yes it’s 18 carat but she seemed very annoyed that she had to serve us. I then left a deposit for the ring and came back a few hours later to buy it and another guy served me. He was having trouble finding me on the system and the same lady Abby was there but she wouldn’t come over to help him. I mentioned that on the receipt they’ve given me for the deposit there was no information whether the ring had diamonds, what carat gold it was or the weight or Any information about the Ring? The lady said it would be on the receipt after I paid the balance and then when I paid there was still no information and they refused to write on the receipt whether it was 18 carat gold or whether it was diamond. I don’t know if this lady Abby was having a bad day, but she certainly shouldn’t be working in retail with an attitude like she has. I only bought the ring as my girlfriend liked it and it was a great deal. I have over 15 years in the trade and I knew what the ring was and could read the hallmarks and it also said the diamond weight inside But otherwise I would’ve never bought it. The other staff were professional and friendly some Polish ladies and an Indian guy. Very disappointing customer service from this lady Who shouldn’t be let within a mile of anything retail related

Just want to say thank you to Stephanie. Nothing was ever to much trouble for her, when she helped me get my jewellery back after I’d had financial issues due to the pandemic. I will definitely be recommending this store to family and friends.

Went into H and T pawnbrokers, Sutton today to ask advice about selling a gold necklace . .I was given sound , sensible and honest advice by the assistant . . The staff member although only 5 months service was an asset to the store. I believe his name was Akeem.
