I sent a subwoofer in for repair that was working but made a "clicking" noise in standby mode intermittently. I explained the issue and payed the £30. He phones me the next day and said some capacitors are faulty and the manufacturer has said any unwanted noises, to replace "all" the caps and would be a further £140. I said would this resolve the issue? And he said "yes". So I agreed for him to go ahead. A couple of days later he rang and said the work was complete. I asked, are you 100% sure the problem is fixed and he said "yes". I went to collect and when I arrived the subwoofer was "plugged in, but off", the clicking did not happen when it was "off", only when in "standby" and when he said see, its silent I wasn't convinced. He told me he'd had to change "40 capacitors" but did not show me the "faulty" ones that added to my suspicion it was not fixed. But I took his word and payed via card but did not get any paperwork of work completed (hmmm). I get it home and plugged in, within 5 minutes the fault is still there. Clicking away in standby mode. I ring the store, and tell him its not fixed and he told me to bring it back in. When I arrived he told me that he'd never actually heard the fault, and did what the manufacturers suggested if any unwanted noise comes from the driver. I explained that I was 3 round trips in, £170 down and we are where we started and showed him a video of the fault. He had the subwoofer a further week with no update, and I phoned. He said he'd heard the fault this time and it was a power supply issue. So now I'm wondering why "40" capacitors were replaced at a cost of £140 if it was something else. A further week had passed, no update. I ring again. He said yes, we have it on now we have replaced more " faulty caps" on the power supply and it isn't making the noise anymore. Great I said! When can I collect? He said give me a few more days, so I am 100% certain, that I was fine with. Days passed and I hear nothing and had to phone again! He said ahh yes Christopher. All fixed and you can come and collect. I arrived and he said it was the power supply capacitors that made the main board "capacitors" fail explaining why the "40 caps" needed to be changed. I accepted his word and knowledge and asked a simple question as to why my subwoofer was there. Specialist language aside, Is it still making a "clicking noise"? is it fixed? He said, yes it fixed and there was nothing more he could do. I asked this time for proof of work and what was done that he agreed and wrote "changed some caps". I said thank you for your time and left. I am now, 4 round trips of 80 minutes in, £170 down with a receipt that says "changed some caps", but I had hope! Anyway, It is now clicking away on the kitchen side like the bulk supply point of Ratcliffe power station as I'm writing this.

I asked to have my TV looked at because the picture was bad. Prior to examining the TV, I was told a signal booster was needed. After paying £90 including £30 for the booster (which was clearly second-hand), the picture was no better and the tuner was blamed. I bought a second hand TV from him which was a bit better, but not perfect even using the booster. I sourced a new aerial which is an improvement, but the installer said that I would need a better booster than the one I had. The proprietor was most reluctant to take the booster back and was highly offensive! I wish I had read all the other reviews first!

I strongly recommend that you do not use this shop - I took my Robert Radio in for repair in April and had to pay £30 to book it in. There were no calls so after three visits to the shop for an update I decided to go collect it - it is still broken, but actually now worse than before and is now not repairable - the case has been hacked and bashed, covered in holes and damage, the handle is not now attached , the electric cable is lost, and the new set of batteries gone. No recognition that they have caused unrepairable damage, in fact tried to get me to agree for the radio to be removed and replaced with a blue tooth speaker for over £100 - they are unbelievable- do not take anything precious to the shop as you will not see it again.

Avoid if you care for your money and item .Took my amplifier for a circuit protection fix. The amplifier was turning on and then it was going to standby mode .Asked for 30 pounds deposit which I paid . After two days they quoted me 150 pounds more which I said I don’t want the repair .They returned back the amplifier in dead condition . Now it won’t even turn on
