   Waiting a week for a call-back call regarding request for new business commercial insurance info, despite a follow-up reminder by me and a no-answer transferred call. Disappointing as other dealings with this company have been good. FOOTNOTE: After posting this I was promptly approached by a director and received excellent assistance.

   ABL invited me to renew a small office policy. Checked back six years on my files and noticed that the premium had increased every single year by an average of 5%. No change in cover. No claims. I asked what accounted for the annual increases. The non-answer: These were 'standard increases'! They recommended renewing. I spent ten minutes online and got slightly better cover for literally HALF the price! ABL's explanation was that, "We only have access to so many markets and we put forward the most competitive terms we had." This was the most astonishing part of the experience - the frank admission that their absolute best effort was good enough to source a premium that was double one that was easily found by a novice. I asked for the e-mail thread to be referred to their Compliance Manager, just to see if my negative perception was justified. This request was denied.

   Tried to get a quote on 3 occasions, the first two calls I made my details where taken and no one contacted me, I decided to ring a third time got abit further this time and the guy looked me up to which he told me I had been already contacted that morning by an adviser and given a quote, I explained that no one had contacted me which I don't think he believed, I was then told he would consult with the advisor who had apparently given me a quote that day and get back to me.. that was two days ago. I wouldnt like to needs these guy in an emergency, I wouldn't recommend Really poor service

   Used this company for 3 years no problems at all. Someone hit my car 3 weeks ago and admitted liability, I have paperwork from their insurance provider stating that the accident was not my fault. It came to my renewal and ABL informed me that MY insurance would go up by £400 due to an outstanding claim. I was able to find an insurance provider who gave me a quote for £700 cheaper - ABL did not send out a renewal, I had to chase them for a week for a quote and was given the run around. Wouldnt bother with them again, they do not reward loyalty
