Howard is a fully qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Howard studied Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at Regents College, London and completed the Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education also in London. Howard entered into his training in counselling and psychotherapy following a career in senior management/organisational leadership. During his time in the ‘business world’, he completed a Masters Degree specialising in group and organisational behaviour and studied for a period of time on the Doctorate programme in Business Studies (DBA) before beginning his work and training in Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2003. Howard has been working in private practice for 10 years. Howard has studied and trained across a number of therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic, analytic, cognitive behavioural, transpersonal, arts, getsalt and humanistic (person centred) psychotherapy. Howard's post qualification continuing professional development has been predominantly in the areas of Analytical and Jungian psychology, the study of dreams, the study of transgenerational trauma and more recently in the academic study of Cornish Identity.
