Do NOT let your child go to early years here. There is an older woman that will constantly put you down as a parent. Tell you you need to be exactly on time and when you explain you were stuck in traffic tell you with a look of disgust on her face 'well leave earlier' then make you feel even worse about being a parent when you say look I'm sorry but every time I pick my daughter up from here you seem to have an issue and are while cheeky to me and go 'hmm no I'm not' she can NOT handle criticism at all. Said to her look I have mental health and I've been struggling she continued to disregard me when I said I'd be speaking to her manager and she replies 'I'm not scared of you' clearly seeing you are struggling with things she had no regard for your well being and says maybe be on time for your child! She's your child. I called her out for her actions in a not so nice way but then she shouts insults back. Vare in mind this is taking place in a PRIMARY SCHOOL and the other parent had literally just left as I pulled up - she drove past me outside the room!! But its me that gets put down. Bullying offensive behaviour

Moved here from another country with a 4 week old baby & 19 month old baby, health visitor called to say Im isolated and no support or activities. Was told i can go then after 2 weeks i was told i cant come back because of my postcode even though initially they knew that i was out of catchment but was told there were other ways in, especially as i just moved counteies & dont have family/isolated and asked me to complete a form. Unhappy with how they treat a newcomer with a 4 week newborn baby just moved countries with no help! Thankyou for showing (un)kindness full of regret moving here now as totally isolated and cant get to any groups without a car!

All i can say Abbey sure start has been great for both me and my daughter.. Ive been attending programmes since Ellie was 9 weeks old the 1st one being baby club and i think ive been to every programme since .. I dont think Ellie would be the child she is now without surestart and the support they have given me with being a single mum new to parenting and the confidence. Also the new friends i have made the social side to surestart is great especially being a single mum and Ellie got to socialise with other children too with being the only child it helped her to develop social skills and attending the developmental programme for 2-3 year olds prepared her for nursery and also going into primary 1 in september. Overall Abbey sure start is a great organisation and im glad i attended for them 1st 4 years of my childs life and i know they are there if i need any further support.
