Lovely small flower shop, that had everything I was looking for. I bought some simple but beautiful flowers for my date today. The florist was very friendly and a pleasure to meet. I think this is my new favourite shop I will definitely come back to soon.

John's florist, Heavy Petal, is a beloved part of our community in Shad Thames. As well as being a caring character, he does great flowers, including at the very last min. for my daughter's lockdown wedding. He'll refill a pot, order in anything fancy you want, or just wrap you a cheerful bunch of tulips. His shop front lifts the spirit of Shad Thames and invites people in - we really missed it in lockdown and delighted he's back!
My wife and I have known John, the florist and owner of Heavy Petal Flowers, for many years. He is a very popular character at Shad Thames and is always friendly and courteous to all. He has never spoken or behaved in a racist manner and, being a Chinese Singaporean myself, I think the previous negative review is unfair and unjustified. John’s selection of beautiful flowers are excellent value for money and his shop brightens up the cobbled street of Shad Thames.
John knows what he is doing with the flowers! I bought a bouquet of flowers for my sister's birthday and they were beautiful and my sister absolutely loved it :) thank you John. Also bought two pots of cactus which are very fresh and they are doing very well.
Stopped in here to buy a simple bouquet and was so grateful to meet John, the florist! He gave me a gorgeous, reasonably priced arrangement of flowers. Was especially appreciative that he checked with me about the height of the flowers, since I didn't have a tall vase. The spot is tucked away, but once you find it, its such a great spot! They also sell some potted plants and succulents if you're not looking for a bouquet.
