Want to leave a positive review for a member of staff, Fergus, who helped me out a great deal today. I had a complex issue to sort out with my account and he managed everything in an efficient and friendly manner. Everything was sorted without stress. Thank you.

Served yesterday by the most ignorant staff member named Kasia. My 86 year old DISABLED mother (having been with this bank over 30 years) wanted to withdraw a similar sum of money she had previously withdrawn at Royal Avenue branch and provided photo id including her disabled badge. Was abruptly told NO I don’t know you and can only give you £2k. If you want the full amount go back to Royal Avenue branch! When I asked to speak to someone in higher authority she unbelievably asked did I want to speak to someone in their fraud department!!! Apparently she has worked here for 13 years? WOW I assume she missed all of her customer service training. An absolute disgrace and damning portrayal of a major financial institution. Nationwide are just around the corner if anyone is thinking of opening a new account. Shame on you…..

Have just had my worst customer experience in decades at this branch. Went to open a bank account for my 17 year old son and was taken to a computer because no in person staff available to help him open an account. Had a question during the process and left 17 year old in front of the computer mid application. Couldn't find an available member of staff to ask for help and by the time I got back to the computer we were logged out and all the info we had input was lost. This was bad enough, but when I finally got to speak to a member of staff, my issue was shrugged off and blamed on the 'security system'. No log out warning had appeared on the screen. No member of staff could grasp that my frustration was that our time was being wasted. We were effectively gaslit and told that we couldn't have had the experience we were reporting. I asked to speak to a manager and when none was available I asked to speak to the senior member of staff on duty. Gareth just made the situation 10x worse. He was patronising, condescending and so defensive he could not grasp that all we wanted was to open an account and be treated with human respect. It was like talking to a faulty robot that just kept repeating the same answer and couldn't actually hear what he was being asked. When I approached the female member of staff who had initially dealt with us to ask for support she simply blanked me. Terrible, terrible service all round from this crew. I hear that branches are closing and in my opinion this is a good thing. AI could do a better job than any of this lot.

In branch Gareth and Lisa 1st class and great help. Sorted out my additional borrowing because the mortgage online team was not capable of doing this. The online team/help was a disgrace. Thank god for switched on people in branch.

I was appalled today by a member of staff's attitude towards me. She was arrogant and not remotely helpful; I was stunned by her attitude. The conclusion I quickly came to was to take my business elsewhere. Thank goodness I discovered the Halifax, Abbeycentre - chalk, and cheese.

If I could give no stars I would. Asks for personal information and doesn't process it and it's been over 4 weeks. This goes against article 5 of the GDPR

Went in with an urgent and very tricky problem. The lady I dealt with was able to sort it very efficiently and got me out of a stressful situation. Excellent service.

I see someone had similar experience at this branch recently too. The cashier was actively unhelpful and took great pleasure in refusing to accept old NI notes to lodge into my account. When i made a complaint via the website the complaints department told me cashier had said she had acted in such a way as I had been abusive to her! Complete and total nonsense! There's a huge difference between an unhappy customer and an abusive one. I will be taking the matter further before closing all accounts. Avoid this place, poor customer service would be one thing, slanderous accusations are another entirely.

Really arrogant and unhelpful staff. Refused to exchange an old Bank note. Went to a branch in Belfast city centre, they were more than happy to exchange it. The disparate attitudes of the different branches is appalling. Avoid this branch if you are looking for friendly and welcoming staff.

Small bank that has been in the community here for years. Has had a refit some years ago - a few parking spaces outside the door. Normally quick service and friendly staff. Santander seem to have some decent offers on in banking in 2016 also.
