   My sister and I visited Matt's lovely, private studio a few weeks ago for matching tattoos. I had messaged in the lead up to discuss designs and Matt was very helpful and patient with all my questions and changes. The day of the appointment was calm and comfortable, Matt was very friendly and made sure that we were both happy with the design and positioning. We are both so pleased with how our lovely new tattoos came out and they have healed really well. We had such a great experience and I would recommend Matt and The Black Pig tattoo studio to anyone looking to have a new tattoo in Berkhamsted or surrounding areas :)

   Matt is an amazing artist with a fantastic eye for detail. My half sleeve took the best part of a year to complete due to the detail and size of the piece. Matt was patient, forgiving when I was being a baby when it became sore in parts, and always a total professional. His artwork is some of the best I’ve ever seen and is reflected in his tattooing. My husband also had large tattoos from Matt and was equally impressed. Even when I thought I had an idea of what may work in the tattoo, if Matt had any reservations about the finished product, he would offer alternatives that I hadn’t thought of and always with a more beautiful result. The studio in Berkhamstead is clinically clean, with a relaxing atmosphere. I can’t rate Matt highly enough or his studio. I’ll never go elsewhere for my work again.

   My first tattoo at the black pig. Couldn’t have been happier from start to finish. Great communication during the run up to the tattoo with multiple ideas sent over to me. As for the owner and the shop, I was very impressed. Great atmosphere, great shop and great artist. I would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be going back for more work soon.
