We had a lovely morning at Moira Lakes, the water was just lovely! Staff were friendly and gave guidance before we went in. Enjoyed the warm shower and the lovely cup of coffee too. Only downside is the lane is very bumpy, one of my friends was talking to them and they are trying to sort it!
I've only been twice, but it's already my favourite spot ever! Everyone is so unbelievably kind and it has such a wonderful community feel, and the lake is gorgeous. Such a gem, I've only been for the swimming so far but I can't wait to give paddle boarding a go. Just absolutely perfect.
Couldn’t recommend Moira Lakes more. I signed myself up on a trip around the coast of Turkey on a kayak, without knowing really anything about kayaking. I went to Moira Lakes for two lessons and they were professional, friendly and so knowledgeable. They gave me the confidence to go and have a fantastic trip! Thank you ✨
Open Water Swimming Session Booked. Had a fantastic alternative Friday night out with the girls! The mood was definitely lifted by the time we headed home. From start to finish, the experience was seamless—check-in was quick and simple. The location was easy to find, just a short distance from Moira. There were plenty of seating areas, spacious changing facilities, and even warm showers available afterward. The lake itself was clean, refreshing, and surprisingly pleasant to swim in—it actually felt good for you! We were all impressed by how warm(-ish) the water was, especially since most of us are used to sea swimming. The lake isn’t too deep, so it was ideal for anyone who prefers having their feet on the ground in most areas. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the free tea and coffee afterward was a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be back!
Great day out with family. Lots to do. Kayaking with the grandchildren, changing rooms, wetsuits and lifesavers all provided. Quadbike train rides for all ages, axe throwing (must have shoes/trainers that cover your toes, no open toe sandals allowed), archery all enjoyed by me 66 years old. Í missed out doing the wall climbing.... However I will do it next time so much to do and enjoy the outdoors. Weather was excellent.
Brilliant place with great facilities. We had so much fun paddle boarding. The staff were brilliant and even let us have a go on the big shared paddle board. The lady at the desk gave my 1 year old son some duck food so he could feed the ducks with his granny while we paddle boarded and then gave him paper and chalk to draw inside when it rained. Wonderful staff who went above and beyond to make it possible to have a lovely family day out for all. Thank you
Amazing set up and so safe an absolute must for water sports enthusiasts. Food and refreshments onsite and such a little beauty spot right at our door step
After a great weekend at Moira Lakes, my youngest boy asked If we could live there, and my youngest girl cried when leaving. I think that says it all...and in amongst all the fun, our two girls and their two cousins earned their first paddle sports certificate which was presented at the end of the weekend by Aidan Mulholland, on of the instructors. Many thanks to Marty and all his staff for a truly great weekend. We'll be back!
