AVOID AT ALL COSTS Sadly our insurance company hired react to remove our kitchen, tile the floor, walls and paint then reinstall our kitchen with new work surface. This took over 4 months!!!! We were constantly misinformed by React. There was very little communication. They did not return calls and we were kept guessing when workers would turn up. We explained my wife was caring for her terminally ill Mother and we needed to know when workers were arriving but this was irrelevant to React. They told us when workers would arrive and they never did. According to a company they used this is the norm, they told us they were dire! When asking about the delivery of our work surface we were told we hadn't told them what we wanted, this was a blatant lie. I gave them the date and time I told them and this was met with a poor excuse. This whole saga of incompetency led to a director and two others calling out to the house to set a completion date. Not once was any kind of apology offered. If it was I probably wouldn't be writing this review. Instead they passed the buck blaming the workers they booked saying it's their fault not Reacts. When the work surface was fitted it didn't appear to be oiled despite being told the contrary. It was also extremely rough. We were told by them to oil it ourselves over the next week and they gave us a dishwasher pad to sand it with......yes, you read that right!!! I had a joiner, electrician and 2 tilers all tell me it had not been sanded or oiled!!! Days after it was fitted someone turned up unexpectedly saying they had to screw our work surface down because they'd forgot! They then sent a painter to sand and oil our work surface for 3 days after we complained (again). We told the painter about the dishwasher pad and he he was clearly shocked as he shook his head in disbelief. He used sand paper and the difference after his first coat was amazing. This took over 4 months of work, if I had known of the bumbling incompetency ahead I would've arranged this myself and got the money from the insurance company. Its a relatively small kitchen, ive seen houses built quicker. I'd urge you to avoid this company and avoid the stress caused by the incompetency, unaccountable staff, dishonesty and sheer terrible customer service. How was our kitchen left? 7 weeks after they've finished and all our sockets are still hanging off with no signs of the screws!!! Doors are chipped, and the drawer beside our oven won't open properly. Reacts answer to this was switch it with the drawer at the other side of the oven. I couldn't believe this. If anything this just highlighted the sheer incompetency and lack of knowledge they have. They also switched my freezer off (admittedly this was accidental but it just added to the experience) defrosting everything. AVOID AVOID AVOID If you're thinking of using them I'd recommend you try the following people who would be more competent and capable Trotters independent Traders, the Chuckle brothers, Arthur daly, Laurel and Hardy or Frank Spencer.

Avoid this company at all cost. Summoned by our insurance company to track and trace leak damage. Needless to say they neither tracked or traced the issue sending an inaccurate and misleading review to our insurance company resulting in a rejected claim. Also cut a 3ft X 2ft hole in our downstairs ceiling and attempted to charge us over £300 for the privilege, leaving the damage to be addressed at our own cost. After employing a competent contractor the real reason for the leak was revealed, which in fact was the piping joining the shower valve behind the tiled shower unit. Photographic evidence of this was taken for future review and clearly shows how the water damage was manifested with rotted wood, spray back and running water staining on the plasterboard, much higher in location to where React reported the problem. "React" reported to our insurers the leak was the result of poor sealant around the shower unit but did advise there was a small leak elsewhere. The definition of "small" leak I would call into question on the evidence of the photographs. I had personally removed the sealant around the shower and grouting within the tiles at the request of my contractor, when arrived told me we had a serious leak somewhere in the piping. This is the point "React" were asked to trace the leak by our insurance. Furthermore, I advised React there was a more serious leak and explained I had removed the sealant from around the shower to enable resealing but they deemed prudent to send a misleading report to our insurance, who rejected our claim. Well done React, job well done!!! UPDATE The financial ombudsman overturned Reacts findings conveyed to our insurer who in my view should be struck off as a legitimate trader. Thankfully the financial ombudsman made them payout, case closed. Without prejudice, I will name the insurers to enlightening potential customers. I note the proprietor of "React" who was quick to jump to the defence of his incompetent staff has been awfully quiet on the evidential photos I posted. Come on man hold your hands up.

I rarely if ever feel inclined to post a review or comment on service provided, but the exceptional service that has been provided by your company, and partnered with that from Claimstec, has been truly exceptional in fixing our home. What was a hugely stressful situation for us (full downstairs strip out, coupled with move out to rental property, due to mains water leak) was lessoned significantly by the process driven approach taken by your staff. Top marks folks!

Suffered water damage in downstairs of property due to burst hot water pipe below the floor. We rejected the cash settlement offers from insurance and went down the path of having the insurance company have their contractors complete the works. Chris was our assigned surveyor from React, and was top class from start to finish. His attention to detail made sure nothing got missed, and always came back to my non stop emails. Reacts decorators, joiners, plumbers, tilers all had very high levels of workmanship. Overall, having React manage all of the works made having to move out of our home for 8 weeks relatively painless, and we were able to move back in ahead of schedule. Conor

This company was assigned to us by our insurance firm following water leakage damage to the family home. Originally I was very impressed by their quick response, efficiency and keeping us in the loop. Work was done when they said it would be done and generally to a good standard. However, as works were getting nearer completion I became more disappointed. My contact was Niall and I must say he was superb. He dealt with any problems promptly and was very reliable. He would be a credit to any firm. However, whoever was managing it on the ground didn't do such a good job. Problems were 1) Tiler - extremely messy using sink, garden waste bin, driveway and garden as a dumping ground for his grouting waste, etc - (React did agree to powerhose driveway after me asking) 2) Plumbing - sinks/baths taps plumbed back in at random way without checking if they were going to correct hot or cold tap , one of the sinks was leaking after being fitted, 2 radiators that were taken off were put back on but not screwed back on 3) Electrics - cooker extraction fan not connected. These were all things that passed a 'final inspection' - I also had to ask for washing machine and fridge to be refitted. So much for Clean restore repair (the motto)! A bit more care in the fine details and this could be a really good outfit.

A leaking pipe in our kitchen floor led to extensive damage throughout the downstairs of our home. React dealt with our problem very efficiently and provided an excellent service in what was a very frustrating period. The work carried out by all the tradesmen was very professional and I especially would like to single out Julianna for providing a first class customer service, constantly keeping me updated and timely arrangement of work to be carried out.

A sudden malfunction of a radiator led to something of a flood in two of our rooms, causing considerable damage which required a great work by furniture movers, plumbers, cleaners, painters and decorators, a cornice specialist, people skilled in working with heavy curtains etc. While it was all a bit of an ordeal for us, we much appreciated the fact that React, in arranging all this, proved to be experienced and efficient as well as obliging and endlessly sympathetic. The people they sent to us were all top class workmen who did their jobs well, keeping disruption to a minimum.

Our house developed a bad water leak in the hall and bathroom under a concrete floor. The damp spread to the walls, the bathroom floor had to be excavated and the hall floor lifted . The pipes were replaced and the walls and floor dried, replaced and refurbished. React put us in contact with a loss adjuster who undertook all the negotiations with our insurance company and React undertook all the plumbing, plastering and re-fitting work to a very high standard. The staff and workmen were very competent, knowledgeable and pleasant and completed the work in an extremely tidy and neat way. I would recommend the Company highly.
