   Went looking magnesium bisglycinate and thought I found one on sale. I asked the guy working what else was in it as there was no instructions and he laughed and said magnesium glycinate. I asked why there was no ingredients stating that and he said I have to peel away a label to view it. So I did. It was a Holland and Barrett own brand. I instantly noticed other ingredients listed and refused to buy it on sale. One of the ingredients was magnesium oxide which is used for constipation. I found this out the hard way. When I told him I didn't want it because magnesium oxide give me the you know what, he instantly told me it doesn't do that. Literally called me a liar and tried to lie about the ingredients. I asked him why it did it to me again. His response was to laught me out of the shop. Do your own research and ask yourself why they have a label covering the listed ingredients. Ask yourself why I had to ask what else was in the 'so called' magnesium glycinate and why I was lied to and laughed at for having the cheek to ask about what I'm actually buying. I will never use this shop or company again. They think everyone is stupid and try to hide what they are actually selling. They laught at you for asking questions you shouldn't have to ask. They laught at you and call you a liar for no reason. Any wonder it's impossible to find a half decent make in their tiny shop. All the half decent makes with ingredients clearly listened have their own websites selling their own products. Holland and Barrett are just parasites that order their stuff in for you to collect. When you can just avoid this shameful dishonest company and do it yourself.

   Lisburn store manager refused to accept my valid nurse student ID card so that I could get store discount. I visited another Holland and Barrett store in Belfast later the same day (10/10/25) , and they happily accepted my nurse student card and applied the discount to my purchases. Customer service is everything. Update following response from store. I am referring to my Student Card which gave me 10% discount in a Belfast H&B Store. The same Student Card was refused in the Lisburn Store.

   My recently potty-trained son had an emergency toilet moment while I was in the shop collecting my order. The staff refused to allow him to use their toilet and suggested I find a café, leading to him wetting himself. When I returned to collect my order, the voucher I'd been emailed didn't work, and they were insistent that it must be my own fault. Thanks, Holland and Barrett, you've worked wonders for my wellbeing.

   I have been in this store a few times and there is a lady that works here that is extremely rude and would go out of her way to be horrible to customers. I know myself and a few other people I have spoke to about this store has agreed with me about her behaviour. I now avoid this store and I go to the Belfast store if I need anything from Holland & Barrett.
