   My Grandad owned Pimlotts Fishmongers in Wilmslow so I know how fresh fish needs to be and how fish must be prepared. Cheshire Fish are superb, fresh fish of various varieties, many of which you'll never see in a Supermarket, prepared as we request. Recent purchases include boneless kippers, plaice fillets with nice bright spots, an indicator of freshness, Lemon Sole, and Halibut steaks. See you soon!

   Absolutely TOP NOCH! Service is great, good banter and the fish, well there are no words. We brought the biggest Snapper I've ever seen, yes it wasn't cheap but omdays, it tasted FANTASTIC. We had salmon last night, Sea Bass tonight, we've had Tuna, just beautiful and the Oysters were to die for. Can't wait to go again!

   A good fish shop these days is a rare and magnificent thing! I’ve used this shop for four years now and I have NEVER been disappointed with any of the fish and shellfish I have bought. Amazing selection every time I visit, the service is always knowledgeable and friendly. There is also a sushi lady at the weekends but I’d advise to order upfront as she’s always busy when I call. Brilliant! Thank you

   Superb selection of the best quality fish, shellfish and smoked fish all reasonably priced. The staff are all really friendly and knowledgeable if you need any advice on cooking etc and will fillet and prep the fish however you need it.

   We had an unpleasant experience with this fishmonger. We bought a “fresh” brown crab for Christmas Eve dinner. We didn’t realize the crabs were not alive until we started cooking them, and then we noticed a very intense ammonia odor. Dinner ruined.

   Having moved here from Hamburg (fish!) via Malta (more fish!), this place is a blessing and not something you would necessarily expect in a Northern market town. This is not only a fishmongers, this is an exceptionally good fishmongers! Their produce is outstanding, it is fresh, it is shipped in from as local as they can get it (I am told there are family connections to fishermen in North Wales). You can get fresh Cornish sole, Scottish rock oysters, wild salmon, real (!) red snappers and everything in between. Every now and then, you will see a piece of particularly tasty swordfish and they won't blink when you ask if it is sashimi grade; it is. No, really, it is. In Macclesfield! (Photo below to prove it). Terrific!
