   We had our son’s 21st birthday party at The Grumpy Chef, and it was perfect Having such a large table worried me when looking for a restaurant to host us. From the first enquiry I sent to Natasha everything went smoothly with the planning. We ordered in advance from a full menu. The food on the food was delivered on time, freshly cooked and delicious The ladies who looked after us went above and beyond to make our night special. A total success either way everyone commenting about how lovely the restaurant was Thank you all so much

   We went here twice. First for a coffee which was really good. Nice and hot for a cool day. We went back a few nights later for a dinner. We made a reservation as we have seen it can get a bit busy. We had the Spanish red wine which was something different but highly recommended. It wasn’t as heavy as a Merlot but not as light as a Pinot Noir. We shared three start dishes which was more than enough for two people. The portion sizes are very generous. All the dishes had good flavour and were serves beautifully. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area for any additional travel advice. Definitely worth visiting if in the area.

   We visited this restaurant after reading glowing reviews, and it still managed to exceed our expectations! It’s a small, cozy place with an incredible atmosphere and absolutely outstanding food. We started with hummus and toasted bread, followed by roasted chicken for my husband and crab linguine for me. To top it off, we shared a bottle of wine—and everything was simply fantastic! The experience was so wonderful that we couldn’t resist taking a slice of cake to go. The total? Just £60—an amazing value for such a memorable meal. It was a special occasion for us, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a better place. Highly recommended!

2. New Age ★★☆☆☆

   We’ve been coming here every couple of weeks since it opened. They typically do great breakfasts and we always bring friends and family here when visiting. Sadly our past 3 visits have been rather poor for whatever reason and yesterday my breakfast was bone dry - poached eggs that were rubber really and frankly inedible. A real shame as we’ve loved coming here.

   I had a delicious brunch here. I ordered the pancakes with streaky bacon, with 2 extra pieces of bacon, 2 sausages, and 2 eggs. I also had a small latte to drink. It was all very tasty and it was perfect for brunch. The only slight complaint I would have is that the service was fairly slow, but we weren't in a rush at all so this was no issue.
