The chicken waffle breakfast was absolutely spot on. The waffles were light and perfectly crisp, the chicken was tender with a brilliant coating, and the balance of sweet and savoury was just right. Every bite was full of flavour, and it felt like proper comfort food done really well. The staff were amazing too β friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. A brilliant way to start the day, and Iβd happily order it again

I came to The Harvester Fountain in the morning of the 16th November 2025. This meant I was seated for the breakfast menu. I ordered 2 ultimate breakfasts and paid a 10% tip and this only came to about Β£30, which is very affordable. Food was very good for the price and itβs very cosy inside. Recommend!

Lucia was a really friendly server and nothing we asked for was too much she made our visit very enjoyable, the food was nice and served quickly (but not so quick you felt it had been sitting there ages)

Nice pub, good value for money and good choice on the menu. Iβd booked a table online only about half an hour beforehand as it was a Saturday evening for the restaurant but there was still plenty of tables in the bar area. Service was good, a little busy being a Sat evening but thatβs to be expected. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

We have used this Harvester regularly for over 40yrs as it is our local. On this occasion I had received an offer as it was my birthday, but unfortunately, for the first time, it was a huge disappointment. I ordered the Simply Classic Chicken with broccoli, peas & a jacket potato. The chicken breast was over cooked and very dry, the potato was lovely (hard to spoil a potato!) but the broccoli was inedible, and the peas hard and discoloured. The broccoli looked dry and smelled burnt as if it was the scrapings from the bottom of the bain-marie. I had one piece and decided to leave it. I didn't like to complain as our waitress Kay was really lovely and rushed off her feet with 3 large tables to serve, but I did mention it to her when she cleared the plates and asked her to bring it to the chef's attention. The salad bar was reasonably well stocked but they had to be asked 3 times by my husband, another guest, and then myself to re-stock the rolls. And then we had to ask again for plates! I do find that it depends who the chef is on the day as to the quality of the food, and some staff are better than others at regularly checking the salad bar. We came on a Saturday at 1.30pm and it was comfortably busy which usually means the staff are on the ball, but not this time. But give Kay a pat on the back for being perfect at her job

So my family of 12 gathered at 2hay used to be the place to celebrate anything good that happened in our lives. We were here tonight to celebrate my daughter in laws birthday and the service was amazing. We handed the cake over as we booked in, well I say handed it over, they offered to take it and asked when we would like it "delivered". We all had salad to start, which was a lovely fresh selection of all the good stuff, even raisins and pineapple for the kids. Our main meals were served hot and were all delicious. Our waitress checked we were all happy with our food, and as soon as we had all finished the clearing of the table was carried out really well. Then they brought the birthday cake over with all the candles and sang happy birthday along with us. The staff made this evening so wonderful for us and I would like to thank them and really recommend this particular harvester.

Bloody awful don't bother. Staff are all so young it's like visiting a daycare for toddlers. No one wanted to serve us or acknowledge us even though we smiled at several staff and waited at the bar. Ladies toilets a disgrace, toilet seat broken, tampon bin over flowing my wife said, and well I didn't even venture into the men's as you could feel the stench in your eyes at the threshold. The place was almost empty, and staff out numbered us 2 to 1, but even still, they all seemed more interested in themselves and having a chat or a laugh!!! Is this what dining out has come to? Overpriced ping and ding food that quite honestly coupled with the level of customer service these days, I'd rather stay at home, thanks for nothing.

Work Christmas dinner. Unfortunately the food wasn't great. The main problem was the heat, it just wasn't hot enough so by the time you're part way through it's stone cold! Christmas pudding was served with cold custard, yes really!! The other thing that bothered some of us was that it wasn't at all festive! Surely the point of a Christmas dinner is to celebrate, no tinsel, no crackers, no festive centre pieces on the tables, just bare and boring. The young lads that served were great, very attentive and friendly, they saved the evening from being 2 stars.

Love a Harvester and pleased to see normal service has resumed on their self-service salad bar. Love the free refills too. Always great for an all round menu with huge selection. Great family restaurant too.

We arrived and were promptly seated. Leanne our waitress soon came to take our order. Food arrived quickly and at very high quality. Definitely made for an enjoyable Mother's Day meal.
