   Gyoshaya is a great spot in Bicester! Their sashimi don is absolutely wonderful — super fresh and full of flavour. The food quality is excellent and the presentation is beautiful. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Japanese food!

   Gyoshoya serves the best Sashimi Don I’ve had in the UK so far! The fish is always fresh, rich, and flavorful, and impressively, it’s served with brown rice. The owner and chef are so warm and welcoming. Truly, it never disappoints - every visit has been a delight!

   Had the Oyakodon and the No.3 Assortment Sashimi Bowl. Sweet shrimp and scallop were fresh, salmon was slightly under-thawed, whitefish was average, and the negitoro was disappointing with no real oily flavor. The Oyakodon rice had too much vinegar taste — better with soy sauce and wasabi, but plain white rice as an option would help. Portion size was small, probably not enough for most men. Overall, fresh ingredients but portion and execution didn’t match the price. Tasty, but value for money is not high.

   I have been to so many high end Japanese restaurants in London. Despite the fact that it’s a take away and don’t under estimate their food quality and fresh sashimi. It’s a bit pricey but it’s big portions and they know to slice fish properly. Hope they would get a proper setting area for dine in.
