Lovely restaurant, delicious food and friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable for a “classier” restaurant!

A pleasant afternoon with friends at Hanson at the Chelsea cafe. A very good selection of food choices on the menu. Food was delicious, cooked just right and the presentation was excellent. Our chef and waitress were friendly and added to our afternoon experience.
I absolutely loved this place. The food was amazing. We had the 7 course tasting menu, and everything was cooked to perfection. My only criticism is that the waitress was on her own. She couldn't do enough for everyone, taking orders,seating guests, serving food, serving drinks, and operating the till, at one point she was actually running. She was amazing, but they definitely need more staff. I highly recommend the Hanson and we can't wait to go back.
Fantastic meal, high dining whilst being hearty and full of flavour. Generous portion sizes, left comfortably full. Presentation of food was. great and a varied wine list. Service was great, rarely see people as attentive and friendly as the young man who served us today. No delays, food came out in great timings between courses. Overall, really lovely place to dine would highly recommend
Wonderful, cosy and delicious! We went for dinner last night, the service was great considering how busy it was. Food was delicious and beautifully presented, I had the Salmon Gravard Lax starter, Lemon sole main and Chocolate Crémeux dessert. My fiancé had the Scallop starter, Duck Confit main and the same dessert. I thoroughly recommend coming here if you're a lover of seafood, they also have meat and vegetarian options and can accommodate if you let them know ahead of time.
This is a place for a 'special' meal as it is quite pricey but definitely worth it. Set lunch menu, I'd checked it online beforehand as I need both vegetarian and lactose free. I didn't see anything suitable so emailed the restaurant a couple of days before. They immediately emailed back, helpfully suggesting alternatives. I had a gorgeous vegan meal - pictured, tempura avocado, vegan risotto and vegan ice cream with berry compote. Also pictured, smoked salmon starter, duck main course and chocolate dessert. 5* meal and very well looked after by the lovely wait-staff member.
Great dinner experience. Very nice food, excellent service very friendly staff. We had potato and coconut soup for starter, hake, monk fish, scallop for mains and panacota for dessert. Highly recommend this place. Book in advance.
I was treated to dinner here for my birthday last night. Unbelievably I've walked past this place maybe hundreds of times but had never realised what a hidden gem we had right under our noses! The restaurant was just impeccable from the decor to the atmosphere to the wait staff to the absolutely stunning food. Our waitress was just perfect, she was attentive without hovering, she anticipated everything we may need and was very friendly. The food... Oh. My. God. The Food! It was quite simply the best food I've ever eaten at any restaurant! It was brought out in a timely fashion, no long wait between courses, and everything was cooked to perfection! I cannot praise the chef enough. When we were being seated my partner briefly mentioned it was my birthday and the chef then, very thoughtfully, wrote happy birthday in toffee sauce on my dessert plate which I thought was a lovely touch, especially since we hadn't made a big deal of it being my birthday. Its little things like that which will make us go there again and recommend it to everyone we know. How lucky we are to have such a first class restaurant in our little city
