   Probably the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten...as well as being scammed out of one whole meal. Soggy, oily and undercooked batter, tiny portions and flabby (also undercooked) chips. There's really nothing to commend the food at Yallops. And to top it off they "missed" one whole meal by splitting another across two boxes so that we didn't discover the shortfall until too late. Add in that they (almost violently) refuse to accept anything but cash. One wonders why the owners run a fish and chip business as they so clearly have so little interest in attempting to please their customers.

   The chips were pretty cold. Would have been nice if they were fresh. Sausage and batter had been there too long and was dry. It was quiet so the fryers hadn't been used for a while.

   My partner had haddock and chips, no problem, good portion and very tasty. I had cod and chips, I have never had such a small piece of cod from a fish and chip shop, it was tasty but was gone in a flash. I would have gone back in but we had driven out of the area. It probably equated to about 3 fish fingers.....Ridiculous, we shall not be returning.

   I would’ve scored 5/5 if there was homemade tartare sauce as this looks great from all the other reviews. We went on Saturday evening after the football and they had sold out- completely understandable!! The fish was crisp and fresh, as were the chips. Mushy peas were tasty but they had ran out after 2 portions (we had wanted 3!). Curry sauce was a good replacement. Great value for money. Cash only!

   Gorgeous piece of plaice on Friday, cooked fresh to order and was super tasty. Home made tartare sauce was icing on the cake though for best fish and chips I've had for a very long time! Plenty of parking nearby and a nice park directly opposite to enjoy your food - the seafront unfortunately was a building site otherwise would have perched there! It's cash only though which seems a bit odd these days - cashpoint directly outside but charges £1 for withdrawals :-\ That loses a star for me sorry!

   Genuinely brilliant chips, probably the best I've had in 20 years. An outstanding combination of excellently cooked chips (soft on the inside with a lightly battered exterior) without much grease at all. The staff were lovely and seem to genuinely care about doing well. I'll definitely go back when I'm in Mumbles or near Joe's!

   If you're down mumbles way, then Yallops is your must go chippie for really good fish n chips. Best enjoyed on a bench on the sea front with plenty of salt n vinegar. The smell will drive everyone passing by crazy and make them really hungry too. The food is always reliable. Mumbles prices, and cash only. However, worth every penny.

   On first glance this place looks very nice, however the service is disappointing. We were waiting more than 10 minutes for some chips and curry sauce, which is meant to be fast food! To have the curry sauce over the chips cost £1.80, which seems extortionate. Also, they only take cash, which is very inconvenient. I would not recommend, as the service is slow and the food is overpriced.
