Love the Maharani. First went there nearly 20 years ago as a student, and still returning with the family. Owner is a great bloke, very relaxed atmosphere. My favourite restaurant in Swansea

My friends and I eat at the Maharani on a regular basis. Dula is a fantastic host and can't do enough for us. He knows our regular orders but is happy to recommend other dishes for a bit of variety. The food is always fresh and tasty. His chef will adapt dishes according to taste, e.g. I prefer flavours of some dishes which aren't particularly spicy but he will spice them up for me. I've lost count of the number of times I've eaten here and will continue to do so. The prices are very reasonable, the ambience is really great and the friendliness of Dula tops it all off.

Dhal is the friendliest and loveliest man and caters for everyone. I have been 6 times now and the curry is spot on every single time. Very affordable too!

Fantastic service! Loved the food, the staff took care of us. There was a lot of selection and the staff helped us to select the food to our particular preference. Would definitely come back again and would recommend to come again.

Visiting Swansea last night, looking for an Indian Restaurant and came across this place. We noticed that it was considerably cheaper than the one next door so decided to try it. We certainly weren’t disappointed. Decent chutney tray with the poppadoms, both our curries were really tasty (Chicken Pathia and Chilli Chicken) and the Naan Bread was delicious – really hot, fluffy and a good size. Owner was really friendly and service was fine. Just a pity it wasn’t busier. The bill was spot on to the penny so very happy! (Am I the only person who is getting fed up with restaurants increasing their prices without changing the menu? Seems to have happened every time I’ve been out lately!) Really happy with our visit, will definitely come here again next time we are in Swansea.

Awful. Food wasn’t nice but still expensive and the worst part is that the chicken was raw. I had already eaten some before I realised and now I’m doomed to a week of food poisoning and all the joys that come with it. These lot cannot cook meat properly. Avoid avoid avoid. I should have stuck with Panshee.

Nice ambience. Very good food. Relaxing place to be. Good came at at appropriate times. Though no sauces with starters was disappointing. Main meal with very hot plate ( but not told it was very hot!. Ouch) . Overall Very good service and hospitality. Please check the bill for it appears there is either 15% service charge (Not mentioned anywhere ) else were overcharged! Hmm
