First time visiting here, we sat in, we had table service, the father and daughter were so welcoming, friendly and polite. The food was extremely hot, fresh and tasted bloody lovely!! Portion sizes big too.

It had been some time since my last visit to this establishment, so I was both surprised and impressed by the new layout, which I was told was completed in 2018. This is likely one of the nicest fish and chip eateries in Norwich. The dining area was spacious and inviting, and the staff were polite, friendly, and welcoming. As I wasn’t particularly hungry, I ordered a takeaway portion of chips and an orange drink for £5.58. The chips were cooked to perfection, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I will definitely be returning to experience dining in the restaurant.

We came today and the restaurant side was shut due to lack of staff. Not a problem happy to eat in the bench’s in the takeaway part. Sat down to notice how dirty the tables were clearly haven’t been cleaned for a few weeks. Then as a family of 5 we received our food relatively quickly. Done the usual salt vinegar etc. first chip I had was raw/very undercooked. Had a few more and they were the same. Went to speak to the server with the chips, he physically took the chip out of my hand ate it and said “they are perfect” to which I tried to reply too but was cut off straight away with I’ll get you some more. I wanted to explain that they may be perfect to him but to me the weren’t. I sat back down and he came with some more. By that point my husband daughter had found som very undercooked chips as well. My husband said he had some that were raw and the response was for the server to reach into his chips take one eat it and the same response “they are perfect”. At that point I was so taken aback that I didn’t want to eat anything. He took my food away and offered a refund. My daughter was so shocked to see the way I spoken to and rudely cut off that she had totally lost her appetite. My mother who had received some bad news that week and wanted to sit with her family was so sad to her daughter spoken too that way it made her cry. So I went outside to calm down for a few minutes and to try and approach the situation again with the server/manager of the day. Needless to say I was met with a scathing response to me trying to explain I just needed mine cooked more and for him to stop cutting me off. By being completely cut off again and continuously. Stating he had a right to defend his cooking and to him he’d made the perfect chips. I’ve never been spoke to like that in a restaurant/takeaway, that I will not be coming back. To upset the whole family over chips is ridiculous. This server/manager of the day needs to have a few customer service lessons. I, at no point bashed his cooking or ability to cook, even if I wanted to I wasn’t given to opportunity to speak.

Well, well, well, if it isn't the "Deep Blue" chip shop, serving up the crispiest, tastiest chips in the county! Not only is their food top-notch, but their customer service is simply the best - well done Adam, Tarn and Lisa!. With staff so friendly, you'll forget you're just ordering fish and chips, and feel like you're at a five-star restaurant. Don't believe me? Give them a try and be prepared to have your taste buss blown away! You won't be disappointed!

Well we’re to start Went into this lovely looking chip shop and ordered 4 cheesy chips , 3 curry sauce and 2 battered jumbo sausages . The order came to just over £29 witch to be honest Is overpriced but I thought you can’t really put a price on good quality food Boy was I wrong!! The sausages witch coat £3.19 each were the most cheapest sausages you could imagine the inside was white and they tasted disgusting The chip portion size was very small and instead of mozzarella cheese it was just mature Cheddar cheese that didn’t melt and didn’t taste nice However the curry sauce was nice … Customer service was not much better The customer assistant told me it would be 5 minutes but took over 10 No one asked if I wanted salt and vinegar so had to take them out of packaging and do myself To be honest it is a takeaway and a restaurant so I don’t mind paying The extra but the food quality was absolutely shocking I would never recommend this establishment and would never step foot in there again I really do think they need to have a long hard look at the food they serve considering there is another chip shop further up the road witch I certainly hope I have a better experience

Fabulous ! Southern fried chicken burger with chips and Battered haddock , gravy and chips. Fantastic deal of 50% off food when eating in, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Gravy was just out of this world, just like steak and kidney pie gravy. Chips light and fluffy, good portion and not greasy. Batter was crispy and there was no grease ..delicious, large flakes of tasty haddock. Chicken burger was nicely presented in a fresh brioche bun. Salad was fresh too. Tartare sauce had a lovely flavour, not too sharp. Staff were attentive, polite and friendly. Thank you for a great meal.... we'll be back for sure.
