The food is amazing. So flavourful and not even too expensive. we ordered 4 appetisers, a curry, a rice, a naan, 2 desserts, and 4 drinks each (pints/bottles of cider) and it was around Β£75 which is amazing price especially seeing as we took so much home with us. I’ve been here twice now. Once in October for my birthday and then again this evening for my boyfriend’s birthday and both times everything we ordered was amazing. If you like a curry with a kick, get the Helambu Chicken. It has so much flavour and you can even taste the char on the meat. I will be coming here even when I no longer live in Bedford. (We had the Gulab Jamun and we ate some before remembering to take a picture)

First and foremost we have had the same delivery driver for the last few years - he is a credit to the restaurant in terms of excellent customer service, so friendly and jolly. The food is consistently delicious. Outstanding, authentic and a gem in the heart of Kempston. I can thoroughly recommend the vegetable biryani accompanied with a beautiful silky curry sauce - the potato in the dish is delightful . Fresh delicate colourful vegetables with fluffy rice. My Husband had the Chicken korma, he loved the sweet flavour and the succulent pieces of chicken which were plentiful. Thanks Diya for another superior meal. Tracey & Andy

Ordered a takeaway. It was THE best delivered food i have had in a long time. It was delivered on time. The driver was super friendly and very smart (which is rare) the food was so hot we had to let ot cool before we could eat it, then when we could, it was so flavourful and exactly as it was described. Certainly impressed with the quality and experience. A huge thank you to them all. We will use your service again and be recommending you!

As the name Diya Royal so their food Royal as well. Just delicious and so athletic taste of Asia. Each and every dish have unique taste not like other restaurants. Reasonable prices and not a bad location in Kempston Service was friendly and professional. You can enjoy drinks with food too because it’s a pub as well. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere in dine area. We all friends had an amazing time and thinking to make it permanent every month. Highly recommended. They’ll never disappoint you.

The food was amazing, would highly recommend if you're looking for something a little different to the usual curries you're used to. This is good quality Nepalese food...delicious. Will definitely be back.

I had never dined at Diya Royal before but had always wanted to give it a try after reading alot of positive reviews about the overall dining experience offered. When my friend suggested booking a table I jumped at the chance. Some people think Diya Royal is mainly Indian cuisine, this is not true, Diya Royal is Nepalese cuisine which is influenced by Tibetan, Indian, Chinese and other parts of Asia. We had a table booked for 8.30 and on our arrival we were given a warm and friendly welcome from all the staff and were seated promptly even though we were 10 minutes early. The restaurant was very busy and had a healthy, vibrant atmosphere which is always a good sign. We both ordered a starter, my friend ordered the Nepalese style sweet and sour chilli chicken with peppers, the balance of chilli, sweet and sour flavours was perfect, which in my opinion was excellent and I highly recommend you try. I ordered the Fish Sunkoshi which was freshly marinated deep-fried crispy tilapia served with green chutney. The fish was cooked perfectly and the dish as a whole was full of flavour and tasted delicious, the green chutney really lifted the dish and gave it aΒ  freshness. For our main course we ordered the Nepalese special fried rice between us and the Piro lamb, which was Spicy Nepalese lamb tikka curry with fresh green chili, garlic coriander and mixed peppers. I ordered the Saag Jhinga, which was a freshly prepared tiger prawn curry with fresh baby spinach leaves – Gurkha style. This was accompanied with Paratha's, which I can only describe as a cross between puff pasty and a flatbread. I would have been happy just to have three or four Paratha's just to dunk into my curry sauce!!!! An amazing culinary experience with a great variety of Nepalese cuisine to choose from at a reasonable price. I will definitely be back for seconds.....and you should be too!!!!!
