    Gave this place a try and was very very impressed chips were some of the best I’ve ever had very fresh, crispy but soft and fluffy on the inside. Fish was beautiful too! The chap who served was really friendly and I think their prices are very reasonable aswell! 10/10

    Living on a narrowboat I have fish and chips every Friday all around the country. Today I had the best ever here. Food excellent- perfectly cooked, big portions and cheap as well. The owner could not have been more helpful, even fetched out a chair for me to sit and eat on. Will definitely be back.

    Had cod & chips for first time last night and it was delicious. Fish made fresh with a very light batter. Best fish I have ever had, as it came without any skin on, so for first time I could eat it all. Very friendly and helpful staff too. Would highly recommend them.

    Amazing! We spent a cold wet Sunday at Rushden Lakes and by the end of the day, all we wanted was a good traditional fish & chips and the kids wanted a pizza. We searched on google and Captain Cook's was 7 minutes away and was open on a Sunday. On arriving we had a very warm welcome from the lovely couple who were chatty and made the kids laugh. Great chippy, very clean and well presented. My wife and I decided to go for the traditional fish and chips while the kids went for the Captain's special pizza. The captain himself is such a friendly chap, and his lovely wife gave the kids some chips while we waited for our order to be freshly cooked. We were so hungry, we ate as soon as we got our order. OMG, my wife and I both agreed that this was the best fish & chips we had ever eaten. I had never tasted batter like this before, it was sublime. The crunch from the batter was amazing followed by the moist fleshy white fish! Delicious! He also gave us a sample of the Captain's curry sauce which was very tasty! Our kids pizza was equally as impressive. Our kids are fussy eaters but when we opened the box the aromas were delightful. The pizza was fresh, full of flavour and the toppings we fab! Top marks. Thank you Captain Cooks! We thoroughly enjoyed our food and will definitely be making a return visit!
