   Nice and warm pub - staff excellent and always willing to have a nice talk with you. A pool table and a gambling machine is located on the right hand side. Did not have food but looked nice!

However, it’s hard to ignore the shadow looming over pubs like this across the UK. With the relentless rise in costs and the lack of meaningful support from the government, these small havens are fighting battles they shouldn’t have to face. The ever-growing prices make it harder for both the owners and the patrons to keep these cherished establishments afloat. It’s heartbreaking to think that such vital community hubs could one day be a thing of the past. So, while this pub deserves every ounce of praise, it’s a stark reminder of what we stand to lose if things don’t change. Support your local pub—it’s worth every penny, and then some.

   We called in for dinner off chance. The staff were very accommodating and the food was good. Although the pub was busy, the other customers were very welcoming and friendly. We had an enjoyable time. This is a good traditional pub, it is worth visiting.

   We frequented this pub while working by Yarlswood. The welcome here is almost as good as the food was!! What a great place to visit. Wish this pub was in my village. Well done Fox & hounds keep up the good work and food. :)

   Had a wake here today after our Mum's funeral. Lovely selection of food laid on for us.. presented well, tasted great and plenty to go around. Staff welcoming and friendly. Superb value for money.. Highly recommended.
