This is the best chip shop in the surrounding towns! The food is always spot on and the portions are generous. Also reasonably priced.
Absolutely amazing tasting food. Chips are cooked in beef dripping & are perfect. Fish was very good too. Definitely recommend & can’t wait to visit again. Very friendly owner & staff.
I do not go to any other chipy i have recommended alot of people from other villages to take the trip and try it. He cooks all his food in beef drippings, batter is always crisp! Fish is absolutely huge! Proper traditional portions of chips too. Lovely family, great food and convenience shop.
Really friendly owner. Delicious fish and chips and, as it was my first purchase here, he even gave me a few chips to try, while waiting. Do take cash though, or pop to his shop next door and ask for cashback on a purchase.
Had a great meal at Pete’s Fish Bar in Ringstead, the food was fresh, delicious, and cooked perfectly. What made the experience even better was the fantastic service from April. She was warm, friendly, and really attentive, making us feel so welcome. Her excellent customer service truly stood out. Highly recommend!

Some of the best fish & chips I've ever had! Great fish & chip shop in Ringstead frying in beef dripping for a brilliant taste and really good well-done chips. At the moment it is order by phone, then collect from the shop and they seem to be working on cash only, which is a bit unusual at the moment. We had to scrabble around a bit between us to find enough, having used plastic almost exclusively during lockdown. Worthy of 5 stars, anyway! We had a good fish & chip supper at my son's house in Ringstead!
Lovely chips mushy peas and saveloy. Fish smelt of ammonia so gave up after eating half of it. I am sure this was an exception and if I had pointed it out would have been remedied. I hope to return and get the perfect experience that others have had. Lovely location with the river nearby as well.
Not quite the worst fish and chips I've ever had but very nearly. (The only worse examples were when I've been served fish that was off.) The chips were so old/reheated that most were nearly impossible to eat without threatening teeth. Came here once before about 5 years ago. Was rubbish then too. Won't be returning.
