   * dog friendly * ...in the bar area! We made a reservation for us and the dogs, but on arrival we were told that they weren't allowed in the restaurant. Thankfully, and very kindly, they were able to seat us in the bar area and order from the restaurant menu. If you have dogs, call for a reservation. It did get busy & louder around 8:30pm. Eat before then and it was pleasant enough. Despite all that, the food and service was brilliant. My god, the Mac and cheese burger was bountiful, the fish and chips generous with a light and crispy batter, the Greek pulled pork gyros was lush. Top that with 2 cocktails for £12, and wide range of beers including local IPAs. Plenty of parking but some spots were taken by a burger van. Great value for the top quality & service - HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

   Came here for a family birthday meal yesterday. We all had different meals and everyone cleared their plates! Such a wide choice on the menu as well as the addition of different meals such as chicken katsu curry and penang curry which is a nice change. The service was excellent, the waitress who served us was very accommodating when my nephew wanted to change his meal. We would definitely eat here again, the atmosphere was great.

   First time in years Iv been to the Halfway, it’s been done out beautifully,the food was amazing & reasonably priced. Definitely be a regular now. Staff were all so lovely & welcoming, actually felt like I was a regular already, we were treated like they knew us. Such a lovely personal touch.
