Went for the parents wedding anniversary, the restaurant looks a bit dated, the ambience is very much homely. But one thing I would say, is that their food is on point. Delicious is the perfect word to use. Took a long time to come out but it’s made fresh so that’s to be expected. The platter was absolutely amazing and perfect for a family. Will also specifically recommend the chai which was phenomenal, priced well and worth visiting highly recommended.

Ordered Kabuli Pulao and Chapali Kebab for Home Delivery. Calling this “Kabuli Pulao” is an insult to the name. It had nothing remotely Kabuli about it. Just a bland, lifeless rice dish masquerading as something special. To make things worse, it came with a 3-inch sharp plastic surprise hidden inside. Absolutely unacceptable. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone The Chapli Kebab were alright though. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. Disappointed from the order - will not be eating from here again.

The food is consistently authentic and delicious. Our usual choices are the charsi karahi, chapli kebab, nuggets and chips , grill chicken and sag paneer , all of which are always fresh and of excellent quality. Prices are fair, and portions are generous enough that we often take leftovers home. The only downside is that service can be a little slow when it gets busy – having an extra server on those evenings would make the experience even better

Food was absolutely incredible . Each dish is crafted with care and bursting with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and the presentation is top-notch. Whether you're in the mood for something classic or adventurous. Love with their food . I wasn’t even expecting that much taste but trust me I’m obsessed with their food . Will go definitely again . Highly recommended.

I came with friends based on very positive reviews. We ordered the large family tawa for £65 because we wanted a bit of everything (grilled and curry). The food was incredibly tasty, the meat was succulent and cooked to perfection. I've been to other Afghani restaurants, but without a doubt this has topped the charts. The hidden portion of keema was a real treat and the naan to go with it hit the spot. We left full and very happy with our meal.

Charsi Lamb is top notch and absolutely a must try dish, A brilliant curry. Chapli kebab was best I've had in long time. All in all a great time had.

It makes a nice change to have some different but tasty new places to eat Milton Keynes (MK). The MK food scene is really growing with a diverse array of restaurants and cuisines, and it is great try Khyber chefs for the first time. The service was attentive and friendly. We were recommended by the very friendly owner the Lahori Churgha- Chicken. When it comes on its serving dish it looks so appetising. It’s a baby chicken marinated and roasted in Afghan spices. Perfectly cooked, moist and tasty. We also tried the chapli Kebab-beef, which are large flat patties of beef spiced well and cooked. It’s a cross between a middle eastern kofta and a Indian shami kebab. Complimentary you are given 3 condiments; a tomato base condiment, a yoghurt based one and a coriander-garlic-chilli one. Whilst they were all very tasty, the later I was addicted to. The peshaweri naan we ordered was a show piece when brought to the table. It’s not the peshaweri naan that we have been programmed to believe should be with coconut and taste sweet. It’s a tasty plain nan that is not laden with tons of ghee (thankfully). We are definitely coming again, and we have been highly recommended the Lamb Chursi Karahi. I am a big fan of karahi style dishes and am looking forward to this. The restaurant is very clean, and they give you disposable menus! Excellent idea. Thank you, Khyber Chefs, for bring something new and delicious to the Milton Keynes food scene.
