We were visiting a friend at the retirement village and decided to have a fish and chip supper for four . 2 cod 2 haddock were advised to have only 2 options of chips. The portions were huge but wonderfully fresh Best fish and chips ever under £40 for the four . Cannot praise it enough
St Crispins Fish and Chips mistakenly delivered our order on Tuesday 28th, when it was scheduled on Uber Eats for delivery on Weds 29th. I was in the shower at the time of delivery, so someone else not involved with the order took the food in assuming it had been ordered for that evening. When I discovered the mistake I rang St Crispins Fish and Chips immediately and notified them of their error, stating that no one wanted the food as it was scheduled for 29th and we'd already eaten. The manager told me he had tried to ring me multiple times and got no answer (I was in the shower). He then said that we could keep the food on the house and he would deliver our scheduled order the next day (29th). The next day our food never arrived so I rang the shop and was told that it was 'on the way'. 40 minutes later the food had still not arrived so I rang the shop again and was told that we weren't getting our food as we'd already had it on Tuesday and the proprietor of the establishment felt that we had 'conned him out of the food' because it was taken in on the Tuesday by someone who was completely unaware what was going on. If the owner tried to ring multiple times on Tuesday then why didn't he get the driver to ask at the door if the food was ordered for Tuesday? The mistake would have been quickly realised and the driver could have returned the food to the shop. Also, the driver could have returned and picked up the food at any point that Tuesday evening. For the owner to tell us we could have the food on the house (it went in the bin as we'd already eaten), then to deny us our original scheduled order on Wednesday, is absolutely disgraceful treatment. To then have the cheek to charge us for food we didn't order, is disgusting behaviour. In all the years I have been ordering food for delivery, I have never tried to con a takeaway out of their food. I have been honest and always tip to show my gratitude. I have left St Crispins Fish and Chips five stars for their food as their food is excellent, but their customer service that night was absolutely atrocious. We're gutted as we had spent ages trying to find a great chippy and we thought we'd found it with St Crispins Fish and Chips, but we were let down by their shocking treatment so won't be using them again. The search for a great chippy continues....
Just ordered on there app very easy to use, food has arrived, it was lovely , salad was very fresh, food was hot & well presented, best take away we have had in a long time, would highly recommend
5 Stars I had an amazing experience at St. Crisps Fish and Chips! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside—absolutely delicious. The chips were golden, thick-cut, and just the right amount of salty. You can tell everything is cooked fresh to order. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick, even during a busy time. The place was clean and had a cozy, traditional vibe. Definitely one of the best chippies I’ve been to—highly recommend if you’re in the area!

The best fish and chips I've had in years. Cooked fresh so was nice and hot and huge portion. The staff were extremely friendly and all made a point of speaking to me. I will definitely be going back and would thoroughly recommend.
The best fish & chips I've ever had in Northampton and I've lived in Northampton all my life, nearly 40 years. No grease, no bones, tasty, good portion. Fast delivery and very friendly driver. Would definitely recommend.
