About the best local curry house. Cooking always spot on and service excellent. Shame the menu never alters, but the choice is good.
Poor service, uninterested staff, rude manager, watery curry sauce and chicken, dated surroundings, minimal prawns in prawn cocktail. Give it a miss folks.
They do a real nice Curry at this restaurant, friendly and with good service. Nice decor, but not over the top. Seems clean and tidy enough, so you wouldn't be worried about taking there for a meal here and the price is about right. Lots of seating, yet not right on top of each other so you can have a nice meal in a relaxed atmosphere. A place that's handy to get to, with Hanley bus station just across the road and taxis a little further down, if your having a drink. Very pleasant meal.
After a bit of a hiatus, i went to the Jaflong and was really disappointed with the quality of the curry and starters. The Onion bhajis had barely any filling in them and all curries were watered down, not a thick gravy like curries should be, also seem to be less spices used. Is this a sign of the times with the cost of living crisis? The chips are still very nice though. They used to give you free poppadom's and sauces, that's not the case anymore, shame. I will not be back
We found this place after a show at Victoria hall and wow we’re so glad we did, it’s a little gem. The staff were lovely, excellent service. The food was amazing and great value. Definitely recommend and we’ll be back soon.
Been going here for years. Hands down best Indian food I’ve ever had. As a contractor I’ve eaten Indian food in almost every corner of this country and food wise it’s unrivalled. I always get the tandoori mixed balti.
