Daughter recommended this place so took her and my wife. They have a pretty good menu that caters for vegetarians as well, and the food did look very good. My daughter went for the curry platter, this was huge. My wife had the sizzling halloumi with sweet chilli sauce and I had the Barbacoa beef steak; these last two both came on the sizzling platters and they really were sizzling. The food was excellent. Really nicely presented and perfectly cooked. Way beyond my expectations. We also each had a sundae for dessert; salted caramel profiterole with chocolate ice cream, the Cadbury lover with chocolate ice cream and the lemon meringue. All came in large sundae glasses with loads of sauce and cream. Delightful meal, would recommend and will visit again.

Came for my son's 1st birthday today, prebooked a couple of months in advance. We were given 2 awkwardly jammed together tables (one oval on the end of a rectangle table), no check backs on food, and overall really low effort it seemed from the staff. 2 steaks massively overcooked (Medium rare and medium well both came out well done somehow, with 1 on a skillet and 1 on a plate), "sizzling" skillets were indeed not sizzling, and mega mixed grills were barely warm when they reached the table. Having worked in hospitality, I could excuse all of this if someone had come to check on us, or it was particularly busy, but it wasn't busy (mostly drinkers, not diners), and we had to ask for plates for my son's birthday cake, and after 10 minutes were given paper plates for some reason. Long story short, even with discount, we felt we'd been ripped off. By far the worst Sizzling experience I've had in the Stoke area.

This place is shocking. I ordered fish and chips the order arrived in foil no box. The fish was very hard not eatable at all. No answer on phone at all. Truly shocked in restaurant allowing to sell food that over cooked it’s not edible to even eat and then don’t answer phone or offer any replacement. It’s not cheap in the first place so this is truly unacceptable. I could not put my fork through the fish

Great pub on the edge of Wokstanton/Porthill. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Large car park. Lovey views over the Marsh. Recommended.

The food was great highly recommended here for food, I had the belly pork sizzler the only thing I didn't like on it was the courgette but even with the courgette it was a great dish. The chocolate fudge cake just wow. Very moreish. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were friendly.

We had a very nice, large table by the window (there was a party of us. I shared a pizza. Very nice and very large - good job we decided to share, because the two of us couldn't finish it off. Service very good. Only complaint was the music was a bit loud even though we were furthest away from the speakers.

Today review 3 stars Ordered sirloin steak well done , no blood . Rump steak came and it was cremated. They forgot my onion rings I had to ask for them . They did apologise. It wasn’t busy so they can’t use that as an excuse. Pudding were plentiful I couldn’t eat it all. Going to try another local next time. Shame !! 6 months ago this was my review 4 stars The food was good and plentiful.puddings good portions. . Service good and staff polite. Good price . The only thing that stopped the 5 star was the ladies toilets . Toilet seat was coming off. Needs a deep clean and TLC . Yes definitely go back.

I visited around lunch time and was greeted in an un polite manner. Me and my friend were looked up and down by a woman who seemed to be the manager as soon as we walked in and were asked for id (we are clearly over 18) I didn’t see the need for id as we were only there for food and didn’t even request alcohol. We ordered the lasagna and sausage and mash. Food was APPALLING. As seen in the picture this was how it was presented when it was brought over to the table. Absolutely disgusting. I did not get a picture of the sausage and mash but the mash looked as though it was microwaved and they made no effort when just putting it on the plate. It was a hard lump. The sausages were burnt on the outside and still half raw on the inside. This was my first visit here and will most definitely be my last. The whole experience was very disappointing. I do not recommend and would not advise anyone to go!
