Order placed Tuesday evening online at 18:30 food eventually delivered at 8pm, was barely warm , onion Bhajees burnt and rock hard hard to tell were the onion was, chicken purée deep fried bread swimming in oil and over cooked, Chicken Tikka Korma 6 small and I mean small pieces of chicken floating in the sauce. Peshwari Nan bread burnt only half decent part of meal was the Bhuna and the Keema Nan and Pila Rice. Don’t know what’s happened but this new management need to oversee standard of food going out to customers unacceptable serving burnt over cooked food. They need to look at delivery as if the delivery service don’t have proper tools and equipment to keep food warm then they shouldn’t be offering this service. Never once before under old management had to write a bad review as food and delivery was always spot on. This order even with discount wasn’t cheap and as good portion of it ended up in the bin as over cooked and burnt!!! Sorry to say until they address these issues I won’t be back.

A Farewell to Buckingham Tandoori – A Local Gem After over 30 incredible years, Buckingham Tandoori is closing its doors, leaving behind a legacy of unforgettable flavours, warm service, and a true sense of community. For decades, it’s been the go-to spot for the best Indian takeaway in the area — a place where every dish was crafted with care, consistency, and genuine passion. Whether it was a Friday night curry or a celebratory family meal, Buckingham Tandoori never failed to deliver mouthwatering food that kept us coming back. The chicken tikka, lamb rogan josh, and their signature naan will be remembered fondly — not just for their taste, but for the memories they created. To the owner — thank you. Thank you for your dedication, kindness, and the countless meals that brought comfort and joy to so many. Your retirement is well deserved, but your presence will be deeply missed. You've not only served great food but helped build a loyal community around it. Wishing you all the happiness, blessings and relaxation in this new chapter of life. You’ve truly earned it. With heartfelt gratitude, Shayek & Suraiya

Ordered a delivery from here through just eat twice and both times it was delivered within the estimated time window. However the food was average, even though I got a lot for the price, Most recently I ordered the 'Meat Thali Special'. Notes below. Tandoori chicken lacked flavour, Lamb in Rogan Josh was tough and chewy, Pilau rice was stuck together and stale, Chickpeas in chana masala were undercooked, Seekh kabab was ok, Chicken tikka masala was good, Plain Naan was good, Dips were good and flavourful

1 dish chicken not lamb 1 dish missing All dishes watery All stuffed out with peppers and onions. They can't say we don't know what we are talking about we have been eating currys for over 50 years and this has got to be one of the worst we have in. All the countries we have ever been to

Good food, very friendly staff and fast service. Highly recommend the 10 pound student meal deal if you are a student, it's great value.

We had ordered food w/o onion or garlic for 15 people for an event nearby and the food was so wholesome and nourishing. The staff, Ajmol in particular, was so helpful in arranging the order within a short period of time and we will definitely keep coming back to Bucks tandoori!

It’s not Indian food. Bottled sauces, and frozen chapatis, they just heat the them and sell. The taste is also not good because they don’t even know how to heat the food. Avoid to save money.

This is our go-to spot for Indian food. We order for take-out fairly often, and are never dissapointed. On a separate note, a while back the website used for ordering seems to have been compromised, as I keep getting notified that my password has been stolen from their site. I've tried to find a way to change my password for my account there, but there doesn't seem to be an option.
