Awful service. The guy we spoke to when we called the number said that it was basically our fault their boot products were bad.
Very ignorant staff. Boy serving us didn't speak at all while serving. Packed our bag on the floor so couldn't see what was being put in there and then when leaving the store the alarm went off because a tag was put in our bag which the assistant said must have fallen in there. Considering how expensive the clothing is in there you would think that they would teach assistant to actually talk to the customer
Shop full of young and untrained staff serving you, having a lovely conversation with eachother and making mistakes they can not fix easily. Went yesterday only bought 2 things but was at the till for 10 minutes waiting for a mistake made by Annabelle to be fixed by herself and another man. Got to here all about the work gossip from their conversation Looked like all 3 workers wanted to be anywhere but there.

Terrible experience here today! My daughter, a wheelchair user, was looking for tops and after selecting a few we made our way to the changing rooms, after fighting her way past a rail blocking the entrance we discovered there were no accessible changing rooms, trying on clothes while sitting on the floor of a too small space is disgusting, on leaving the changing rooms another rail had been placed in the way! At the till I asked the cashier why there was no accessible changing room only to be told there was which greatly surprised me as I had walked around the entire shop, she eventually pointed out a door in the corner, I had walked past this "door" believing it to be a wall, so as we left the shop we went to investigate this accessible changing, it did help us identify it as the door was now ajar and on opening the door we were greeted with an assortment of rails and clothes, just about anything they could squeeze in there, I must say River Island your treatment of your disabled customers is quite shocking, absolutely disgusted
I visited today and wanted to try on some clothes. I looked for an accessible fitting room but as there was no large fititng room and no signage indicating there was an accessible option, I struggled using a regular fitting room (by sitting on the floor). The member of staff was quite rude when we asked where the accessible fitting room was and she bluntly said they have one over by the stairs but failed to mention it was being used as a store room. So this is river islands idea of an accessible fitting room. There was no sign on the door indicating it was (supposed to be) an accessible fitting room and it was nowhere near the regular ones. If you use a wheelchair, don't bother going here.
A great place to get fashionable clothing of a good qualify, can be on the expensive side, especially for accessories
