Great restaurant , really lovely decor especially now in festive period! Visited 1st time for a dinner with my mom , the food was lovely , espresso martini is one to die for , great service , I have dropped a star for over 30 min wait time , with completely empty restaurant on Tuesday evening ( we were the only people inside when sat down ) serving 2 mains and a side should not take 30 min. Other than that food was delicious and thats why we have chosen Marco's

Having eaten in this restaurant before I didn't expect a great deal. The only reason for eating there was because I was staying in the hotel. The range of alcoholic drinks (beers, lagers and ciders) has never been wonderful. I booked a table and went down. One single diner and a party of 8, so not rushed off their feet. I placed my order and after 20 minutes the starter arrived - Dough balls. These lived up to their name as they were raw inside, just balls of dough. The waiter who has the demeanor of someone who doesn't want to be there came across to the table and asked if everything was ok, no. I asked for this raw dish to be taken away. Main course didn't get any better, with a pizza that was still raw dough. A pizza, one of the simplest of meals to create yet this seemed beyond them. Having spoke with the restaurant manager I explained the situation, showed her the evidence which she could not disagree with. This isn't the first "Marco" restaurant were the food was of a poor standard but it will be the last chance I give them.

What an absolutely incredible visit we had to Marco’s recently and it completely exceeded our expectations. We were greeted instantly and seated quickly so that was a great start. I was really impressed by the menu as it is so varied and offers something for everybody. Our food was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious, the steak was exceptional! My son loved his pizzetta and Marco’s offers such a family friendly atmosphere that we felt at ease the whole time. I’ve got to say the staff literally go above and beyond here to make sure that you are happy and looked after and a huge thank you to Mandy, Lala and Catharine for their brilliant service, super attentive and friendly! I also love the fact that kids eat free during the summer holidays so that was a winner. Overall an amazing evening and would highly recommend.

In all the years of dining out at restaurants I don’t think I have ever encountered an individual who has serviced our table as amazingly as Bow. This is my 2nd visit to Marco’s Italian at Milton Keynes (don’t be fooled by the fact this restaurant is attached to the holiday inn) mainly due to the impeccable service received from Bow. Her attitude to her customers is second to none, my family and I will be sure to return. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the buffalo wings are the best I’ve had. The food and wine is really very good. But the service is stellar. If you monitor your reviews Marco’s, Bow is the pinnacle of hospitality service and employees like this should be celebrated and retained at all costs. She really is a credit to your team there at the restaurant. The food, the drinks (best mojitos in town) and the service are beyond expectation. Thank you Bow and team

Food was ok, nothing special. The menu is fairly limited to burgers, steak and a few pasta dishes. Service was appalling. Wait staff are more interested in chatting amongst themselves than pay attention to diners. Had to get up a few times to go to them and get some service. The restaurant was fairly empty for a saturday night. With this level of service, i am not surprised. Save your money and go to an Ask, Pizza express or any other restaurant.

Ok food but very overpriced for what it is and service was quite slow - lots of waiting time between courses. Limited veggie options too. Chicken burger was dry and beef burgers quite small compared to other dishes. Calzone was nice but odd that it came with no salad. Children’s menu was basic and food ok, but nothing for kids to do while waiting (pizza express have crayons for colouring and activity sheets). Overall experience was ok but at the price I wouldn’t go back in a hurry.
