   Required fitted wardropes for our bedroom and approached Howdens. Extremely happy with the service from first point of contact to the completion and we are thrilled with our new wardropes. Paul came out to fit our wardropes after we asked if Howdens knew any fitters. Paul was prompt with great communication. Came when he said he would and did a brilliant job for us. All first class from us!!

   We went in to work with Darren today to design our kitchen for our new home and I must say, what amazing service. He understood both our budget and design needs within moments. To top it all off what a nice person. Would highly recommend !

   Initially service from these people seemed good. However, the flaws started to show soon after the kitchen was delivered. Three things I was crystal clear about in my plan design were 1)integrated appliances 2)As well as a washing machine, there would also be a dishwasher 3)The tumble dryer was to be positioned in a different part of the room, and was not part of the kitchen design. When the kitchen was delivered, none of these requests were present. Indeed, the rather rude design person who came to measure the room denied ever having a conversation about integrated appliances or a dishwasher. However, at the start of my conversation with him, he remembered the conversation only to detract it at the end of the phone call!! Designing any room in a house is stressful and complicated. We go to professionals because we rely on then to help us navigate through difficulties and above all provide clarity in combination with good communication. Nothing could be further removed from my own personal experience with these people. Perhaps the fault lays with me, being Canadian and used to professional, polite, slick and superb customer service, the alternative on offer in the UK is very far removed from what I am accustomed to.

   I had high hopes for Howdens but my experience hasn't being great. Designer came out end of last year and first design wasn't what we asked for so I went back to them with pictures of what we wanted and after about a month chasing finally got something back. Asked them to provide the plans to my fitter he contacted them and he didn't receive them. In the end got benchmarx to come out had the design within a couple of days and got extra tall cupboards and a microwave for same price of Howdens who don't do soft close as standard. I would use Howdens again but perhaps next time another branch. Update:I sent further information the upshot of it I was told that as I wasn't a builder I wouldn't get ta quote. As my employer is a large user of Howdens we as employees are classed as traders. So with that we get discounts and also quotes. So now dropped from two stars to one as worse customer service I have received.

   First class service, I would highly recommend anyone looking for a new kitchen to go to Howdens, Llanelli. Nothing is too much trouble, staff are informative and friendly and the range of products are vast and of good quality. A special mention to Scott and Sam for being so helpful and to the kitchen fitters, Paul Jones and his co worker Wayne for building my dream kitchen, their work is outstanding!!

   I always support local companies and businesses. Howdens in Llangennech is a 2min drive from our house. I wanted to borrow 2 worktop samples, and I prommised to return them the next day. I would have been happy to supply my address, telephone and email address, but wasn't expecting the Very unhelpful manageress to say first...that they had "no samples to loan" (despite me seeing several a couple of days before) and then I was told that they "may have samples" but I'd be charged... (I would have my money back, when I returned the sample, unfortunatley I wasn't expecting that, so didn't have any cash on me) It was said in a way, which made it sound as if it was a HUGE hassle and bother! Luckily there are other places not quite so close, but far more helpful. Howdens loss, I certainly will not return for any future projects. Would not recommend.
