   Guy on the phone was lovely. However… The sweet and sour sauce is pink, consistency of water, and just tastes like pure vinegar. Crispy won tons had no prawn AT ALL! Salt and pepper chips were pathetic, just normal chips with a bit of chilli powder. The rice was cold, and the beef in oyster sauce had zero taste. Honestly never had a worse Chinese in my life! For £62, what on earth!!!!

   Ordered Beef Curry and BBQ Spare ribs on Friday 7.30 Beef curry was thick and Stodgy and COLD Looked like it was made weeks ago and tasted awfull BBQ Ribs were not in BBQ Sauce !!!!!! Absolute Rubbish I will not be using you again Tony

   Lazy Chinese takeaway, they put ‘special’ fried rice on their menu but it’s really 25% boiled rice with with 75% stir fried vegetables poured on it with bits of meat and prawns. The bbq ribs weren’t good either. Worst Chinese food I’ve had and wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for value for money.

   Tried the golden lion but very disappointed with the taste and quality of the food. Spent £21 and ended up throwing 3/4 of it in the bin. Chips inedible. Beef with mixed vegetables - vegetables undercooked beef very tough, sweet and sour sauce insipid tasted very vinegary. only descent item was the prawns. Such a shame that the meal was so bad. Won’t be ordering again.

   Best Chinese takeaway in Bedford, reminiscent of the Chinese takeaways I used to visit in London. Food is clean and full of flavour, service is friendly and personable. Definitely visit again!

   Ordered a takeaway for delivery by telephone this evening from the New Golden Lion. Great service from phone call to delivery, only took 30 minutes and the food was fresh, piping hot and delicious. Will certainly use again, and would highly recommend.

   The flavour of their chicken curry was lovely, the chicken was cooked perfectly. It took about 20-25 minutes to be delivered and the driver was friendly and very quick to offer change, only wish I could have given more of a tip! We had a few duck rolls for free as we spent over £20 which I think is a nice touch as most places just give you prawn crackers. This is the first time my sister and I have ordered from here and we will definitely order our take away from here in future.
