Cake was lovely, coffee was lovely, atmosphere was awkward, customer service wasn't great, no greeting us when we went in despite being the only ones there. We thought they were closing soon as we didn't feel welcome. Never wanted to leave somewhere so fast. Shame really coffee was delicious would have liked to try their food but I wouldn't go back! We were there one weekend as we were discovering Swansea. The place is a massive space with workshop happening at the same time, and with big outside seating space as well. We ordered food but due to a mix up one of the food items took a very long time to arrive. The staff was very apologetic and explained that it was one of the busiest days. When the food did eventually arrive, everything was delicious and we especially enjoyed the pastrami bagel - this was so generous in portion and perfectly seasoned. Great atmosphere and would be happy to come back when in the neighbourhood again.

my partner and i visited this afternoon before my train home. the staff were lovely and our food and drinks arrived very quickly (which was great considering we didn't have too much time.) i had the avocado and halloumi bun and an iced latte with sugar free vanilla syrup, which were both absolutely amazing. the atmosphere at basekamp is really nice and we will definitely be returning!! (also seeing the resident dog absolutely made our day)

Great speciality coffee in a stylish coffee shop space. Lots of seating available indoors and outdoors, for you to enjoy your coffee and pastries. There are lots of options, with vegan choices too, so a great place to visit for those with specific food requirements. A real gem in the area and not to be missed! They also sell specialty coffee beans from local brands such as Hard Lines amongst others which is reason enough to pay them a visit.

So I’d never been in here before, but passed it loads of times. Popped in to have a coffee, check the place out and sit and write up a few book reviews. Staff were very welcoming. It was light and airy, nicely decorated and plenty of seating. It was rather busy when I came in yet service was fast. Being hard of hearing I don’t like places when they’re very busy but this place was ok. Busy but quiet conversation and not noisy at all. It’s a great place to come work, plenty of sockets to plug in a laptop or iPad to work on. Quick fast Wi-Fi as well. There was outside seating that would be really nice to use in the summer. BaseKamp is also a dog friendly place whicj most places are not. Got to meet Dil the resident Collie. He was a bit timid and shy but a really nice dog to meet. My coffee was tasty and was just what I needed. Having finished I went to the toilet. I always judge a place by how clean they keep the toilets. Safe to say the disabled toilet I used was spotless, grab bar also provided. Emergency pull cord was available. However only the one in a corner and it didn’t reach the floor. The disabled toilet also had badly changing facilities as well. All in all a great place to meet friends, have a coffee or a central place to work from. Next time I’ll have food as well.

Great cafe! Me and my partner arrived here after a short walk from the train station, coffee was lovely and the place is very calm. Best coffee shop in walking distance to Swansea train station! ☕️

This is my go to spot for coffee in Swansea. Nice vibe for chilling, catching up with a friend or doing some work. The food is awesome, the coffee is perfect, the people there seem really cool and they have an awesome dog Dil. Can't recommend this place enough!

Perfect breakfast/brunch option between trains. Just a few minutes walk from the station but feels more like Copenhagen when inside. Food was fresh, yummy and good portions. Staff friendly and keen to please. Highly recommend.

Comfortable seating, excellent coffee, and reasonably fast WiFi make this an excellent place for an afternoon study session. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in the area and enjoy coffee.
