Few months ago had to have a root canal and they managed to accept me as a NHS patient, then recently my father needed new dentures and managed to fit him in within a week of registering. Good service, open at weekends so doesn't affect my work hours either

I had a very concerning experience during my visit. After filling out forms with all my sensitive personal information, the receptionist tossed them onto a huge, disorganized pile behind the desk, the same pile shown in the photo I took. It was overflowing, almost falling onto the floor, amongst the receptionists personal belongings and definitely not a secure place for patient details. While I was waiting, another patient finished her treatment and the receptionist didn’t even acknowledge her for 5 minutes and then didn’t know how to charge her, eventually needing to call a nurse down to help. The patient then mentioned her filling didn’t feel right but said she was told by the dentist to “wait a couple of days.” At that point, I’d seen enough. I asked for my forms back and decided not to go through with the appointment. The lack of organisation and care, especially regarding private information, was really disappointing. I wouldn’t feel comfortable trusting this practice with my treatment or my personal data.

Asked to book a nhs check up which i was told to call up monday as theyre going to be closed on sunday. I hung up and then instantly get a call back asking for my details then told that I would be seen the Sunday. I hesitated and said im free for an appointment anytime before 12 as I work in the afternoon on sundays. Then book me in for 12:30. I couldn't understand the lady on the the phone as I struggle with very broken accents. She sounded short and snappy when I tried to clarify what was being said, After reading the reviews I dont feel like this is a place suitable for a mentally ill and vulnerable person as theres seems to be alot of pushy behaviour from just that first phone call alone. Sorry but honestly it didn't feel legit or safe for me in my opinion

Have not been to a dentist for 10 years, my teeth have only caused me pain a couple of times throughout those years and just by pain I mean bearable and nothing major. I go here and I’m charged nearly £300 for a filling for two teeth and have to pay for another xray which I refused to do it with them. I only went a couple of days ago and I am in extreme pain on the whole left side of my mouth, I have ulcers all over my mouth also. Not only wasted a lot of money here already, I’ll have to go to another dentists (by the way there was no dentists when I went, the receptionist said only ‘therapists are working today’. When my dad overheard a conversation when I was getting my teeth looked at. Do not recommend. The extreme pain I’m in. I wouldn’t want anyone else to have it.

I’ve just been in to see a dentist and she told me she’s going on holiday in 2 weeks so could I book an appointment with the hygienist and she would do it. Also she wanted to do 2 fillings today. Tried charging me nearly £300. I only went in for a check up. Also she smelt like onion I will not be returning

Southcliff dental are awful. Terrible experience at the moulsecoomb clinic. Staff incredibly rude and unhelpful. They cancelled my appointment and I only found out when I turned up to it. They keep lying about when my deposit will be returned also. I have been waiting well over two months but they have not refunded my money. Extremely unhelpful. Very bad service. Avoid this dentist at all costs.

Initial check up was fine. I then booked a hygienist appointment for the following week and paid a £30 deposit towards that treatment. This appointment was then cancelled by text the day before, and when I then when I finally got through on the phone, despite calling several times to re-book, was advised they no longer have a hygienist... I requested my deposit back and left my details, however that was eight months ago, and despite several further phonecalls and emails, no deposit has been returned. To add insult to injury, my six month check-up which I had also booked at the time of the initial was cancelled too, and I was advised they do not have a dentist at this time.

Decent dentists, when you get an appointment. I've had my appointment cancelled 3 times in a row now. I also have attempted to call and email more times than I can count, with no replies. Trying to communicate with these dentists is incredibly frustrating.
